Today, the second season of Mnet's survival show 'Produce 101' aired it's first episode, sparking new discussions within the K-pop community.

While many netizens were deciding who their one pick would become, Carat [SEVENTEEN fans] could not help but notice the familiar face as SEVENTEEN member Bae Yohan stepped onto the stage.

This sparked debates in the community, especially since four members of NU'EST (another group under Pledis Entertainment) are also appearing on the show. Some resulted in calling Pledis 'greedy' due to the amount of already debuted contestants they sent to participate.

Some reactions included:

'Mnet once again shows us that all of their content is rigged'

'Isn't Seventeen getting popular lately? Why bother participating?'

'Well, I guess we know at least of of the members of the debut group now.'

Others defended the company, stating that it was a good opportunity for both SEVENTEEN and NU'EST to broaden their audience and expand their fan bases, as well as gaining more experience in the industry.

Another topic was raised during the discussions, wondering why only one member of SEVENTEEN came to the show, and why that member had to be Yohan. Carat and National Producers are demanding an explanation from Pledis, who has been yet to comment on the situation.

Overall, most National Producers seem to be content with the situation and looks forward to seeing some great talent on stage.

username2 I mean the point of survival shows are to increase the popularity of contestants, so that when they finally debut in a permanent group, the group gets popular, so all of this sort of makes sense.

username3 They really picked the least talented member 😂 Good way of getting new fans Pledis
username4 As if you could ever dance as good as he does 🙄

username5 Let's go Yohan!! ♥️

username6 Not a Carat but he will 100% be one of my top picks

username7 I really wonder why they picked Yohan to go alone. Like they are 14 members, so why only one? And why specifically Yohan?
