୧ ‧₊˚ 🫐 ⋅ ☆ 𝕯𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐘 𝐇𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐃 𝐍𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 felt more disappointed as she sat in her room, sprawled across her bed, her glasses perched on her nose and her phone in her hand. While she scrolled through her phone, everyone else from her school was attending one of the most important nights of the year. After being caught skipping her classes, Daisy was grounded and sent to her room for the night.
She knew Jackie had been planning for this important night all year, and she couldn't help but feel disappointed in herself for missing it. She also knew her older Cousin was making an appearance at the event, and she was upset she wouldn't be able to see her there.
As she laid back down onto her bed, she stared at the ceiling where her fairy lights blinked down at her. A sigh made its way past her lips as she stared into space.
Daisy could feel herself beginning to feel sleepy as her eyes began to droop closed. And she let herself sink into her bed, her mind beginning to relax, before her phone next to her began to vibrate, waking her up.
She picked up the phone, surprise on her face and in her chest as she saw who the caller id was.
" Dad why are you calling me?"

୧ ‧₊˚ 🫐 ⋅ ☆ 𝕯𝐀𝐈𝐒𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐉𝐀𝐂𝐊𝐈𝐄 𝐒𝐀𝐓 𝐎𝐍 Daisy's bed, Daisy with her arms around Jackie as she cried into her shoulder, the sounds of Richard talking in the other room. Daisy could feel her tears as they made their way down her face. Using the back of her hand, she wiped them away.
Neither of them said anything for a little while, before Jackie spoke up.
" What happens now?"
Daisy felt herself shrug, too numb to speak, but she knew she had to say something for her cousin.
" Honestly, I have no idea. I might have to move back in with my Dad." She could feel the disappointment flood her body, the fear of being separated from her cousin filling her mind, being added to the many emotions she was feeling at once.
" Well, whatever happens to us, I'm not ready for it." Daisy heard Jackie say before she burst into tears again, burying her head in Daisy's shoulder once more, her tears getting Daisy's shirt all wet.
Daisy rubbed Jackie's back as the girl sobbed, and she could feel herself fight her own tears.
No matter how much she was hurting, she knew Jackie had it ten times worse and in that moment, Daisy knew that she would commit herself and be there for Jackie no matter what happened next.
