The morning sun cast a soft glow over Decelis Academy, but Sooha's mind was clouded with confusion and uncertainty. Since learning about the boys' true nature, she had been struggling to reconcile the normalcy of her life with the supernatural revelations. Each passing day felt like a balancing act between her feelings for the boys and the newfound weight of their secret.
Sooha had spent the past few days absorbing the shock of their revelation. Despite their assurances, she couldn't help but wonder about the implications of their existence. Her attempts to engage with the boys felt strained, as if the truth was a barrier she couldn't fully bridge.
As she walked across the campus, her thoughts were interrupted by a chilling sense of being watched. She glanced around but saw nothing unusual. Her unease grew, as if an unseen presence was lingering just beyond her sight.
Later that afternoon, the boys gathered for a meeting in their usual secluded spot, discussing their recent encounters and planning their next steps. Sooha, feeling a mix of apprehension and curiosity, decided to join them.
When she arrived, she found them already deep in conversation, their faces serious and focused. Heli looked up and nodded at her, but the weight of their discussion remained evident.
Jakah, his brows furrowed, spoke in a low voice. "We need to be more vigilant. There have been signs that someone-something-is watching us."
Noa added, "We've noticed disturbances near the edges of our territory. It's not just random."
Just as the boys were about to delve deeper into their concerns, a sudden commotion erupted nearby. The ground trembled slightly as figures emerged from the shadows, their movements swift and menacing. The intruders, cloaked in dark garments, advanced toward Sooha and the boys with an ominous purpose.
Sooha's heart raced. The boys sprang into action, their previously hidden powers now on full display. Shion and Jino swiftly engaged the attackers, their movements fluid and precise. Jakah and Noa coordinated their efforts, creating barriers and distractions to protect Sooha from harm.
In the chaos of the battle, Sooha watched in awe and fear as the boys fought with an intensity that left no doubt about their strength and determination. The figures, though numerous, were no match for the combined efforts of the boys.
Despite their efforts, one of the attackers broke through, making a beeline toward Sooha. Her senses, heightened by her awakening powers, alerted her to the imminent danger. She tried to fend off the assailant, but her efforts were interrupted by a sudden flash of dark energy that sent her stumbling back.
As the boys managed to repel the remaining attackers, the mysterious figure-Dardan-watched from a distance, concealed in the shadows. His icy blue eyes glinted with a sinister satisfaction as he observed the turmoil he had orchestrated.
The attackers, realizing their defeat, retreated swiftly into the night. The boys, though victorious, were visibly shaken. They gathered around Sooha, concern etched on their faces.
"Are you alright?" Heli asked, his voice tinged with worry.
Sooha nodded, though her expression betrayed her inner turmoil. "I'm fine. But what was that? Who were those people?"
Jakah's face was grim. "We don't know for sure, but it seems like someone with a grudge against us is pulling the strings."
The atmosphere was heavy with unspoken tension. The boys exchanged worried glances, their earlier discussions about vigilance now taking on a new, more urgent meaning.
Sooha, still processing the events and the boys' true nature, found herself caught between confusion and determination. The appearance of Dardan and his men had added a new layer of danger to her already complicated life.
As the boys escorted Sooha back to her dorm, the night seemed darker and more foreboding. Sooha's thoughts were a whirlwind of questions and concerns, but one thing was clear-she was now deeper into a world of secrets and shadows than ever before.
The chapter ends with Sooha gazing out of her window, her reflection mingling with the darkness outside. The night held secrets she was only beginning to uncover, and the promise of more challenges to come.
