The Boy Who Saved My Life

I wake up at 6 a.m., the sound of my alarm jolting me awake. Today's my first day as a secretary for a small business down the road. It's summer break so I decided to take a part-time job to get some money while I'm away from school. I get dressed into a fairly feminine suit with black stilettos and my hair in a 'half up half down' hairstyle. This isn't at all what I'd usually wear to school or a regular day in public, but I decided to get dressed up for the special occasion. I walk into the empty kitchen and grab a granola bar and fill up a water bottle with water. My mom wakes up later in the day to go to her at home job and my dad leaves extra early for work, so I drive my self to and from the places I need to go. After a 15 minute drive I finally get to the building. It's not a very big building but I also wouldn't call it small either. A part of the building reads "The Nick & Mike Co." From what I know, the company specializes in all electric appliances instead of gas. I walk in the front door and wait to be checked in. "Good morning, here to check in?" I nod my head and say yes. I continue to give her the information to successfully check in. She finally gives me my work I.D. and I head upstairs to start my job. I sit in my office chair and start doing the work they assigned me and answer some calls. The work they gave me to do was fairly easy, most likely because I'm still a minor but I'm honestly not that young. At least I think 16 isn't super young. They usually don't hire 16 year olds but I think they just really needed employees. But you'd think they'd at least give me work that's kinda hard. As I continue to do my work I feel a small earthquake that doesn't last long. But then there was a second wave. The second earthquake was the hardest I've ever felt. I jump out of my swivel chair as I feel it starting to roll backwards. My chair along with my desk falls onto the only exit door in my office. I panic and look around my room for anything to help me. I see a window that I can open. I run up to the window and struggle to open it due to all the stress I'm under. Finally, I get it open and poke my head out the window as I scream for help. I finally see something flying in the direction of the building. As they get closer I see that it's the superhero's of San Fransokyo. I had never seen them before today at all, I had only heard about them from the gossip around town. I always thought the rumor started getting passed around by a crazy person or some crackhead. But no, here I am, being saved by them. A person wearing a purple suit of armor flew to me on top of a giant robot wearing a red suit of armor. "Get on!" He yells over the sound of the shaking building. During the seconds it took me to climb out the window and leech onto his back, I noticed that he sounded and looked like he was my age. The visor covering his face didn't exactly help me completely determine if he was or not. "Hold on!" He yells out to me as I'm practically sinking into his back from how scared I am. 'If he is my age, then shouldn't he be doing school stuff? Maybe even working like me?' I think to myself as we speed through the sky, getting away from the now collapsing building. I'm surprised I can even think right now with how fast we're going. We finally land about 100 ft away from the completely collapsed building. I finally let go of the boy's back after squeezing the hell out of him. He turns around and asks his team if everyone is safe and they answered yes. He finally turns to me and takes off his helmet. 'He is my age...' i think to myself as he reveals his beautiful face. His brown, almond shaped eyes stare at me in reassurance as he runs his hand through his black, spiky hair. "Are you okay?" He asks. I quickly look down as I notice I've been staring for too long. "Yea, yea I'm okay" I answer sheepishly, still looking down to the ground as a small blush appears across my cheeks and nose. "You sure, cause' you look kinda red" he chuckles as he leans down trying to look me in the eyes again. "Just a little hot out here, that's all" I finally get the courage to make eye contact again. "Yea, it is pretty hot right now" he chuckles. "Do you have a ride home, ma'am?" He asks. 'Ma'am?' I think to myself. As I'm looking down, I remember that what I'm wearing probably makes me look older than I am. Especially the heels I'm wearing possibly make me look a bit taller than him when in reality we're probably about the same hight. "Oh. Just call me Y/N, ma'am makes me feel a lot older than I am" I laugh. "my names Hiro, by the way" he mentions "and, if you don't mind me asking, how old are you?" He asks hesitantly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't mind at all, I'm 16" I answer "and I'm assuming so are you?" Hiro responds in a head nod and a hum. A girl in a yellow, armored suit comes up behind Hiro and rest's her hand on his shoulder. "Hiro, we gotta leave, say bye to your new girlfriend" Me and Hiro blush profusely at the girl's comment. He starts rambling on to her about how she always does this as he walks away. He finally realized he left me hanging and turns back around to me. "I am so sorry about her" Hiro laughs his embarrassment off, running his hand through his hair. I quickly reassure and forgive him. "So, uhm, I'll see you around, yea?" I nod in response. He gets back on his red, armored robot and flies off into the distance with the rest of his friends. As I stare at him flying off, he turns around and waves at me. I wave back. Little did I know, that would be the first and last time I would see him. Until 3 months later.

A/N: Hii, I know this is a really long chapter but this has kind of been like a passion project for me. Big Hero 6 just recently became one of my favorite movies so I decided to make a fanfic off of Hiro (as one does) and this is also kind of for me too since I kinda have a crush on him😛

P.S. if you're coming from my last story (the maxley one) and wondering when I'll update it, I might soon I don't know. Like I said in one of the a/n for that story, I'm making things up as I go so I'm still trying to figure out how it'll all play out so just stick with me please😭
