VICTOR'S POV

So many coalescing scents. Faunus of all kinds, humans, nervous sweat, vomit from somewhere. I'm not used to being around this many people. I can feel some of their eyes on me. It's almost exciting. Makes me wanna square up with them right now, but I have a job to do. Ozzy gave me one job and I have until the end of initiation to complete it. Find the other mutants. Fortunately, mutants have a distinct scent from faunus and humans. Unfortunately all the scents around this campus is throwing me off. I walk around for a second, when I notice it. A scent, slightly sharper than a human and far less wild than a faunus. A mutant. I follow the scent, getting closer to the other mutant when an explosion goes off nearby, completely scattering the scent.

I grumble, annoyed at my luck. Wait. Explosions could mean conflict. Conflict means fighting. Fighting equals FUN!! I walk over to where the explosion happened, only to see a girl in a red hoodie getting yelled at by some fancy chick. BOOORIIIING!!! Due to lack of options, I listen in on their conversation, enjoying how pissed off the fancy chick is and kinda feeling bad for Little Red. As the fancy chick walks away, I approach Little Red, and say hi.

"Woah." Little Red says, looking up at me, "You're tall aren't you? Also hi!"

"What's your name?"

"Ruby." I'm still calling her Little Red.

"Noticed you've made quite the impression on fancy lady." I point out, eyeing the crater Ruby made earlier. Ruby gets visibly more embarrassed and tries to explain that she didn't mean to blow up. I'm only retaining half the information that flows from her mouth as a blonde kid walks up. Well, I found who vomited earlier.

As Blondie and Little Red begin talking about weapons, I decide that I don't care and leave. I walk around the campus, getting a feel for it when I pick back up on the scent. The mutant is close. I follow the scent and find a girl with dark brown skin and an almost regal aura about her. I mean she's almost as tall as me!

"Hey there." I call out to her. She turns slightly and looks me up and down.

"If you've come to flirt, I have no interest." She says. Something tells me we're gonna be friends.

"Nah. It's just I know a mutant when I smell one." I retort. She turns to face me fully, and really acknowledges my presence.

"So you're a mutant? Prove it." She says.

"What do you want a fuckin DNA test?" I reply, causing her to smirk a bit.

"What can you do?" She asks.

"That's for me to know and you to find out." I turn to leave her alone.

"Ororo. I'm Ororo." She says as I leave.

"Victor."

_____________

It's gonna smell awful in here I can tell. I'm currently standing in the gym, about to sleep there with the rest of the gym. Horrible idea, packing a bunch of sweaty ass teens in one room. I turn and am about to walk out when I see him. A kid, who can't be older than 16, sitting there. He's reading a book and wearing ruby red glasses.

"Ruby red lenses, huh?" I ask the kid. His posture, the way he carries himself. This kid has been through some shit. The kid looks up at me, analyzing me.

"Yeah, they keep my mu-- semblance in check." The kid responds. He's smart but clearly still a little childish. Which is fair, can't blame him.

"Relax, little dude. I'm a mutant too. I'm guessing those rockin' red glasses stop some crazy insane power from unleashing?"

The kid goes silent. I smile my sharp-toothed smile, trying to be disarming.

"Why do you have fangs?" The kid asks.

"You'll find out, kiddo."

"My name is Scott."

"You got it, Scooter."

_________

An airship flies over a forest.

"So we just leap out of here?" I ask. I notice other people jumping out, including Little Red. That answers that question, I guess. Suddenly very glad I have a healing factor.

I leap out of the airship, doing a backflip, and sticking the landing perfectly on the ground. Wait, I can't feel my left arm. I look down. Ah. I find my arm a few feet away and reattach it. I move it around a bit, making sure it still functions, when I pick on a scent. A new one. Not Scottie's or 'Roro's... but a new mutant. Awesome.

I rush through the forest, on all fours, feeling a lot more comfortable than I have since getting to Beacon. I chase the scent, growling a little bit as my mutant power makes fills me with adrenaline. I slow and stop as I approach the new mutant. He's... blue. Why is he blue?

"Why are you blue?" I ask him. The mutant turns around, revealing a cat-like face, yellow eyes, and glasses. "Holy shit, are you a faunus and a mutant?"

"Yes, I am." He says, in a surprisingly refined voice.

"Jesus, pick a struggle dude. So what can you do?" I ask.

"I have superhuman strength, speed and durability." He responds. He sounds like a nerd. But not like an uptight nerd, like a nerd who'd show you how to do you homework and then yap about anime for 47 minutes. A respectable nerd.

"So, wanna go find the other mutants?" I ask, to which he agrees. We both travel through the forest for a bit. I tear through any and all Grimm encountered on the way. Their tar-like blood splashes on me before turning into smoke. Makes clean-up way easier.

"You are terrifying." Scott says. Oh yeah we met up with him, forgot to mention.

"Am I? Am I really?" I say, as Grimm tar blood dissipates from my hands.

___________

"Woah, girlboss squad." I say, noticing Ororo, a green haired girl, and a red haired girl haired fighting together. I lean over to Scott.

"How much you wanna bet green hair is a mutant?" I ask him.

"I am not taking that bet." Scott responds.

"Coward."
