Patty Carrigan and Sarah Walter's

Chapter 8

Today was the day of one of Sarah's netball game, she put her hair in a slicked back bun and ofc her dad had to invite the boys since he always does and sometimes they even ask and he says yes, so they come all the time.

I put my uniform on and put my training shirt on top and get my netball shoes on as well.

She got her water ready and everything else like towel spare uniform and deodorant. She cut her nails (you're not allowed to have long nails when you netball). She got her Melbourne vixens jacket and left with dad, Billy and mum.

I was in my phone the whole time making sure that the game was as usual.

AT THE ARENA

We were at the arena and we saw some of my teammates Keira Austin and Hannah Mundy. Hannah is one of my closest friends on the team and sometimes we hangout with the rest.

When we walked in the arena I left my family since they had to wait till the actual game started which was at 2:30 and right now it was 1:45 I had to arrive early for warm ups and things like that but the actual gates open at 2:00 so people can get good seats, normally there's a bunch of people that already becomes really early.

Today we were versing the Giants and they were a pretty easy team to play saying that they are one 8th place in ladder (there's only like 8 teams I think) and we were second

Fast forward to 2:15

It was 2:15 and I already see nearly the whole stadium full, (netball stadiums aren't that big compared to other sports)

I start to get really nervous, until I see my dad with the rest of the boys and mum. I quickly give them a quick look turn around.

"Haha did you see that she gave us a weird look" Dad says

"Ye saw that I think she embarrassed of you sweetie" mum said

"Oi the game is starting" Billy said

Today I was the centre meaning that I was pretty important in the game, I quickly look at my opponent and we both look each other in the eye. The look wasn't intimidating it was just a nervous look

The red blows the whistle and then we start, the first quarter was our ball and we made sure we had long passes and that we wouldn't get any penalties.

After the game

It was after the game and we won! 64-52 I did some interviews and some interviews were on the big screen, until this one agency came up to me and asked if I could do any interviews on the big screen, off I said yes and the interview started

"Hi Sarah how are you?"

"I'm good thank you"

"Alright so we're wondering how it feels to be an important role of the game"

"Oh it's pretty important to make sure that you are an important role, I wouldn't say important but the game can't go on with an important role"

"That's amazing, we also have some more questions to ask"

"Go ahead"

"Currently you are in a relationship with one of the Brisbane's broncos, how is it going so far?"

"Ye so currently I'm in a relationship and it's been going pretty well so far, we're both pretty close with each other"

"Great, how does it feel to be an assistant coach and a player?"

"Well it is stressful but thankfully my training are on Tuesday and their trainings are in the weekends and Wednesday so the timt table fits perfectly so I can always help our dad with anything"

"That's amazing, one last questions, how does it feel to get hate from everyone for being with Patty?"

"Well it's certainly not a good feeling but thankfully I have some many supporters from the Melbourne vixens fans and my other friends as well so it doesn't rlly get in my head"

"That's a pleasure to hear, thank you Sarah and back to you Kim"

Sarah goes to the seats where her family and the boys were

"You did really well out there sweetie" mum says

"Next time you need to run while you get the ball" dad says

Dad doesn't really know anything abt netball but he thinks that he knows it

"Dad you can't move when you have the ball"

"Oh"

I went back down cause we had to take a group photo and the whole time my friends and I were mucking around. I did some interviews and some were weird like when they asked abt my love life and other private things.

AT HOME

We were at home and I wanted to have a deep sleep, I take off my jacket and started to shower and get changed into my pjs. I came downstairs and started to eat dinner and do the rest of my night care routine.

The doorbell rang and dad told me to get the door. I open the door and ofc it's all the boys

"CONGRATS SARAH!"

"On what?"

"You got awarded as best assistant coach for the Hall of Fame!" (Pls pretend that's a thing)

"Oh."

"What"

"Nothing just didn't expect it, err hold on. DAD DO YOU WANT THEM TO COME IN?!" I screamed

"Do whatever you want" dad said back

"You guys wanna come in?"

"Ye sure"

They all came in and I see patty he stands right next to me and gives me a side hug, "you did rlly good for your netball today" he says "aww thanks" . He walks to the boys and I see dad and I give him a look.

"Why r they here?" I asked, "I told them that you got an award and they wanted to come over". "Why'd you tell them?!" . "It's a special event"

It wasn't rlly special anymore because I've gotten the award multiple times and also Olivia but then I HAD to ask "is Olivia getting an award?". "Lemme check, but I don't think so.... Ye nah she isn't. Awards are next saturday". "Ye ok"

The boys stayed over for a couple of hours until they left cause they had training earlier than normal tmr
dad tell me to walk them out so I did and I see patty and gave him a hug and he gave me one as well "bye, good night, text me when you get back home" I say "ye I will, bye babe" he says back with a kiss

IN SARAHS ROOM

I go in my room and start to call Audrey and skye, we were talking abt the gossip that has happened over school "ye so apparently she hooked up with him but then she found out that he had a gf"

We kept calling till 1:30 am and we didn't want to go to bed until dad told me to go to sleep, he had training tmr while I was at school so I didn't have to come

THE NEXT MORNING

It was the next morning and Sarah put her uniform on and sees her dad downstairs. He dropped her off to the station and everything went fine... until.
