Gabriel's POV

Lumabas ako mula sa office ng team leader namin, kakareport ko lang ng mission sa kaniya. Dito kami dumiretso sa HQ pagkagaling pa lang sa airport para magreport sa kung ano na ang nangyari sa mission na nakaatas sa amin. Tulad ng sinabi ko kay Senior Field Agent Royce ay ganon din ang nireport ko.

Fortunately, they believe me and bought some of my lies, unlike Senior Field Agent Royce. Like Senior Field Agent Royce, I also noticed the change in our Team Leader's expression when I reported my encounter with Sergius—no, more accurately, about the appearance of the person I've encountered.

I tried to dig for information of the person I encountered, but Team Leader kept deflecting and changing the subject. In the end, I walked away with barely any new insight.

In-expect ko naman na ganito ang mangyayari, pero hindi ko maiwasan na hindi mainis dahil masyadong tikom at mahigpit ang pagkakasara ng mga bibig nila.

It sparks my curiosity even further, pulling me in with a growing sense of intrigue.

The first person wasn't here in headquarters right now. He's on a mission at ang balik niya ay wala pang kasiguraduhan, maybe next month or next next month, depende kung kailan niya matatapos ang misyon na nakaatas sa kaniya. Matagal na siyang agent sa PIA, kaya nakakasigurado ako na tulad ni Senior Field Agent Royce, may alam din siya tungkol sa Sergius na 'yun at sa Lupine Dominion.

'Yung pangalawa naman...well...

I can't just barge into his office and demand information like some lunatic, he's a very important person in PIA. The last thing I need is to fuel the gossip already swirling around HQ about how I supposedly got this position through nepotism—despite the fact that I absolutely didn't. As if my father would let me get this position without putting any hard work. He'd rather announce that he didn't know me than put me in this position through nepotism.

If I showed up unannounced, it would only give rise to more ridiculous rumors about me.

Maraming mga mata ang nakatingin sakin dito sa HQ. Masyado inggit, lalo na ang mga new recruit at ang mga nakasama ko sa training na hanggang ngayon ay hindi pa opisyal na Field Agent.

Isa sa kinaiinggitan nila ay nang malaman na isa sa mga talented agent sa HQ ang ama ko at kung gaano ako kalapit sa mga nakatataas. Halos lahat sila, parang hindi makapaniwala na naging Field Agent agad ako—and for their information, I put a lot of hard work to get to this position without my father and my friend's help, another thing, I have skills. Kaya imposible na makuha ko ang posisyon na 'to sa tulong ng isang backer. Kung ano-anong paninira na lang ang pinapakalat tungkol sa akin, siguro dahil na din sa selos.

Tang-ina, kapwa pilipino mo talaga hihila sayo pababa kapag nasa taas ka nila eh.

I don't really care about them, but I'm worried about the people around me na maapektohan ng mga chismis ng mga marites. Specially that they have a name and reputation they cannot tarnish.

Kaya wala akong choice kundi maghintay na ipatawag niya ako. Nakakasigurado naman ako na this week ipapatawag niya ako.

He always call for me.

That man is incredibly clingy when it comes to me. I'm not taking advantage of him because he's a clingy person, it's just that since our totoy days, napakaclingy niya na talaga na nasanay na ako sa pagiging clingy niya.
