You know those wonderful movies we grew up with? Like "It's a wonderful life", "Scrooged" or the great "The Family Man"? In addition to many other classics, I have a particular adoration for these films, because they have in common something special that, at Christmas time, our heart can welcome even more. What am I talking about? Hope. And, in this particular case, hope of a second chance, of being able to choose even more paths that can lead to that main road, in which our heart can be the perfect compass again.
With this novel, I wanted to pay homage to these great classics, but above all I wanted to focus more on "The Family Man", especially on the female protagonist. Why? Well, besides the fact that I simply adore this film, I wanted to reinterpret in my own way some situations that I consider really important. So, while in the film the great Nicholas Cage is a cynical businessman, without affections, without true friends, interested only in luxury, money, success, the main character in my story is Kimberly, a woman who, to achieve important goals in her work field, has forgotten to always keep with her what must never be missing in an individual: the heart.
A few days before Christmas, something will turn her life upside down.
Will she be able to understand her mistakes and take the right path?
You just have to find out.
