After a week of waiting, Ying, our brilliant and sharp-eyed director, finally called me in for the shoot. The day was packed, with every detail meticulously planned out. We were at Obsidian Studios, a top-tier entertainment powerhouse known for producing some of the most iconic and cutting-edge films in the industry. The photoshoot was intense but exhilarating, every flash of the camera capturing the essence of the story we were about to tell. Once the final shot was taken, it was time for the big announcement—the moment when the world would learn of the collaboration that had been years in the making.

Later that afternoon, Ling found herself striding confidently through the grand halls of the mall, her heels clicking against the polished marble floors, the sound echoing like a heartbeat. The energy around her was electric. Fans lined the walkways, their cheers growing louder as she passed by, each one hoping for a glance, a wave, or a smile from their idol. Ling, poised and composed, offered them all a warm smile, but her mind was already on the event ahead.

She arrived just in time for the much-anticipated Obsidian Gala, an event that drew the biggest names in the industry. Ling paused to adjust her dress, the fabric gliding smoothly as she ensured everything was perfect. The lights from the event reflected off her, making her look almost ethereal. Just as she was about to step into the spotlight, she felt a presence beside her. Ling looked up, and there she was—Orm Kornnaphat, standing tall and radiant as ever.

For a moment, Ling's carefully constructed composure wavered. Seeing Orm so close, after all these years and all her efforts to collaborate with her, caused something deep within Ling to stir. Her emotions threatened to break free, but she managed to maintain her outward calm, forcing a smile as she greeted Orm.

"I missed you," Orm said with a smirk, her voice laced with a teasing tone.

The smile that Ling had struggled to keep faded slightly, her initial warmth replaced by a flicker of tension. She knew they needed to present a united front, especially at such a high-profile event.

"Please, Orm," Ling responded, her voice steady but edged with a hint of plea. "We need to make a good impression."

Orm's smirk widened into a playful grin as she leaned in closer, her breath warm against Ling's ear. "Oh? Is saying I missed you really that bad now?" she whispered, her tone dripping with mock innocence.

Before Ling could respond, Orm leaned even closer, her lips almost brushing Ling's ear as she murmured in Thai, "C̄hạn bxk khuṇ læ̂w ẁā c̄hạn khidt̄hụng khuṇ" (I told you, I missed you).

The words were delivered with a sultry undertone, as Orm's hand slipped to Ling's waist, a shiver ran down Ling's spine. The touch was both familiar and charged with a tension that Ling hadn't felt in years. Despite the cold professionalism she tried to uphold, Ling couldn't deny the effect Orm still had on her.

Orm's smirk remained as she pulled back slightly, her eyes gleaming with amusement. The tension between them crackled in the air, invisible to the onlookers but palpable to both women. Ling forced herself to regain her composure, reminding herself of the importance of the event and the image they needed to maintain.

The lights dimmed as the director, Ying, took the stage. A hush fell over the audience, a mix of media, fans, and industry insiders, all eager to hear the big announcement. Ying, with her commanding presence and sharp eyes, smiled at the crowd, knowing full well the anticipation she had built.

"Ladies and gentlemen," Ying began, her voice clear and resonant, "thank you for joining us today. It's with great pleasure that I introduce to you the lead roles in our upcoming project, 'The Revenge of the Last Heiress.' This is a story of power, intrigue, and deep, complex emotions, brought to life by two of the industry's finest talents."

The audience leaned in, breathless with anticipation.

"First," Ying continued, turning to the side of the stage, "playing the role of the formidable CEO, who is as ruthless as she is charismatic, is none other than Ling Ling Kwong."

Ling stepped forward, the spotlight catching her perfectly. Her presence commanded attention, and the room erupted in applause. She gave a gracious nod, her expression calm and composed, though her eyes sparkled with the thrill of the moment.

"And as the Last Heiress," Ying announced, pausing to build suspense, "the woman whose life takes a dark and unexpected turn, we have the incredibly talented Orm Kornnaphat."

Orm emerged from the shadows, her entrance met with equal enthusiasm. She walked with an air of mystery and grace, perfectly embodying the character she would portray. As she approached Ling, the two women exchanged a look—brief, but charged with a history only they knew.

The applause was deafening, but even as the crowd cheered, some of the more observant fans began to notice something intriguing. As the two women stood side by side, there was a subtle interaction between them—Orm's hand brushed lightly against Ling's, lingering just a fraction longer than necessary. Ling's fingers twitched slightly in response, a fleeting gesture that might have gone unnoticed if not for the keen eyes of the fans.

Whispers spread quickly through the audience. Was this really their first time collaborating? The chemistry between them seemed too natural, too effortless, to be a mere coincidence. The way Orm's hand had lingered, the way Ling's breath had caught for just a moment—these small, almost imperceptible signs set the fans' imaginations ablaze.

Online, social media began to buzz with speculation. Clips of the subtle hand interaction were shared, analyzed, and discussed. Theories emerged: Had these two been hiding a connection all along? Was there more to their relationship than just professional respect? The buzz only added to the excitement surrounding the project, fueling the curiosity of those eager to see how their on-screen dynamic would unfold.

Ying, watching from the sidelines, couldn't help but smile. The magic of storytelling was already at work, and the world hadn't even seen the first scene yet.
