More Babies

Anita Johnson: I was born on Sept. 15, 1942. My brother Rodney was at my maternal grandparents' house at the time of my birth. My younger brother Randy was born on Dec. 10 of the next year. Then it was Ken in June of '45.

Ken Smith: I was sleeping next to my sister Anita and my parents. Rod in the other room, and Randy next to the kitchen.

Rosalie Wolney: I was born on June 25, 1946. Our family were not disabled like the Miller siblings do. Brother Perry arrived in July the next year.

Perry Smith: Additional beds had made after I was born, Rod and Nita in the first room, me, Ken and Rosie at my parents' room, and Randy near the closet.

Marty Smith: I was born on Aug. 15, 1948. More beds needed after building new extensions of the house. Rod and Nita were still in the same room, Ken, Rosie, Perry and I were at the parents' room, and Randy sleeps near the closet. After Rod turns seven before I was born, he had his first communion.

Darryl Smith: I was born on Aug. 24, 1949. Mom, dad, Marty and I moved into the master bedroom.

Joni Sanford: I was born on Sept. 16, 1950. Rosie moved into Nita's bedroom. Rod was now a good helper after he turns 10. Nita joined in two years later.

Jeff Smith: I was born on Dec. 4, 1951. Marty moved upstairs to sleep. Larry arrived in February 1953, Darryl moved upstairs. Noticing that buddy system has made right after Rodney turns 13.

The list went like this: Rodney and Perry, Nita and Marty, Randy and Darryl, Ken and Joni, Rosie and me.

Victor Smith: I was born on Mar. 21, 1954. New buddy system list had changed went like this: Rodney and Marty, Nita and Darryl, Randy and Joni, Ken and Jeff, Rosie and Larry, and Perry and me.

Harold Smith: I was born on May 26, 1955. Nita is the one to be charged with Darryl as did myself. Andrea arrived the next September, and the new buddy system list goes on and on and on.

Duane Smith: I was born on Sept. 24, 1957. Vic moved upstairs leaving Harold, Andrea and I downstairs. Rodney is the senior in school playing football and decided to go to the university of Minnesota for business. Ken took over at Rod's room after Rod graduated from high school.

Marla McBride: I was born on May 22, 1959. I had a friendly visit from the Millers as Marty was born exactly a month after me. More extensions of the house came after Rod's graduation. Larry had his tonsils removed while he was in first grade. Patrick arrived the next June, the same month as Nita graduated. Nita is the next one to go to the Minnesota college. Rod married a girl named Marlys.

When Marty was in seventh grade realizing about his good works and his good life. He was playing football with his friends after hearing the Detroit Lions football game on the radio.

After Randy's graduation, Rod and Marlys welcomed their first child Tanya Therese on June 13, 1961, my parents' first grandchild. A month later, Aaron arrived on the fourth of the July. Andrea and Duane slept upstairs while me, Pat and Aaron slept downstairs. The new family room is finished after Aaron was born. When the Minnesota Vikings football team arrived, everything is good with the first head coach Norm Van Brocklin. Arlie arrived in August of next year.

Mitchell Smith: I was born on Sept. 21, 1963. I was the last born boy before five girls were born. Rod was the good fan of the Vikings. He usually visits Mick Tingelhoff and Fran Tarkenton. Ken is graduating from high school to go to the University of Minnesota for business and served in the Army.

Glynnis arrived in October of '64 right after Rosie's graduation to go to the university of Minnesota. Anita got married before Glynnis was born. In 1965, after Perry's graduation, mom is also a grandma of Tanya, Zachary, and babies Mark and Jeremy.

On Jan. 13, 1966, Dana is the last singleton child born before Marty graduates. Exactly a year later, Mom had triplet girls, Phyllis, Stephanie and Carlene. Aaron thought it was Phil, Steve and Carl, and mom said, "No, it's triplet girls, Aaron." After the doctors told her not to, she just had a hysterectomy surgery.

New buddy list everywhere after the triplets were born and before Darryl's graduation went like this: Darryl, Andrea and me, Joni, Duane and Glynnis, Jeff, Marla and Dana, Larry, Patrick and Phyllis, Victor, Aaron and Stephanie, and Harold, Arlie and Carlene.
