Ava and Mia stepped onto the Crestwood Academy campus, their hearts racing with excitement. The sun cast a golden hue over the ivy-covered buildings, and the crisp autumn air was invigorating.

"This is it! Can you believe we’re finally here?" Ava’s eyes sparkled with a mix of anticipation and joy. Her long black hair was pulled back in a practical ponytail, and her brown eyes glowed warmly in the morning light.

Mia, more reserved but equally thrilled, nodded with a shy smile. Her dark curls framed her face, and her eyes shimmered with shifting shades of brown. "I know! I’m so excited to start this new chapter."

They made their way to their dormitory, an old, charming building with an air of timeless elegance. Room 203 awaited them, a space with high ceilings, vintage furniture, and a sense of history. As they unpacked, the room’s character began to reveal itself, adding to their enthusiasm.

After a few hours of arranging their belongings, Ava suggested they explore the campus. "Let’s check out the cafeteria and see what’s around."

As they were about to leave, Mia’s eyes fell on a shelf where an antique doll sat, seemingly out of place amidst their modern belongings. Its porcelain face was cracked, and its eyes seemed oddly expressive. "That doll is a bit creepy," she remarked.

Ava’s curiosity was piqued. "It’s kind of cool, though. It has a certain... character. Let’s keep it."

Later, they decided to investigate the attic, rumored to be filled with forgotten relics. With a flashlight in hand, they climbed the narrow stairs and pushed open the attic door. Dust swirled in the air as the beam of light revealed old trunks and cobwebs.

Ava’s gaze landed on the doll again. "Look at this! It’s like something from a ghost story."

Mia hesitated. "I’m not sure. It looks a bit... off."

Ava laughed, dismissing Mia’s concerns. "Come on, it’ll be a fun addition to our room."

Back in Room 203, they placed the doll on a shelf in the corner. The room seemed to grow quieter, and a chill settled over them, but they brushed it off as a draft from the old building.

That night, as they settled into bed, a soft creak echoed through the room. Mia glanced over at the doll, its eyes reflecting a faint, eerie glow. She shivered but didn’t say anything.

As they drifted off to sleep, neither Ava nor Mia could shake the feeling that something was different. The room seemed unusually still, and the doll’s presence felt more pronounced than before. Little did they know, their new home was about to become the center of an unsettling and supernatural adventure.
