Maybe it was days, weeks or months. No calls. No texts. Not even a fucking letter. I think at this point I've went through all the stages of grief. God you would think I'm talking about a dead man, but No who I'm talking about just up and left. Ran off with another girl. And you know what.

FUCK YOU ASSHOLE

"I know you I walked with you once upon a dream." I sung with a smile as I walked my way down the Isles of the supermarket, pushing the trolley with me.

"Keep going mummy." The little voice sitting in the trolley spoke. I look down at the little girl to see her staring back at me, slightly jumping in her seat.

I let out a little 'hum' before continuing never taking my eyes away from her. "I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar gleam." I sung looking into her baby blue eyes. " and I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem. But if I know you, I know what you'll do. You'll love me at once the way you did once upon a dream."

I could tell she wanted me to continue but I ruffle her messy brown locks before speaking once more. "Okay, how about this. If you help mummy pick out what food we get for dinner, I'll get you an ice cream." I bribe watching her. her eyes widen with excitement.

She nodded her head making her hair fall in front of her eyes. I let out a giggle before brushing the locks back. "Okay I'm thinking... nachos for dinner. How does that sound?" I ask the four year old, to get many excited ' yeses' in return.

It wasn't long before we made it back to the car, loading everything up putting the trolley back before strapping the toddler in her chair. I get into the drivers seat, turning on the car before hitting the road.

"How's that ice cream, baby?" I ask over the music. I get no response, confused I turn in my seat to see her sleeping away strawberry ice cream dripping all over her fingers.

Letting out a sigh I turn the tunes down, driving silently the rest of the way home.

"Be careful my girl. You're getting your food everywhere." I laugh as the basically inhales her dinner. She looks at me with those innocent eyes, before continuing to eat as she did before.

"Mummy?" She asks as she stops eating, just looking at me. I look at her as I as well stop eating. "Yeah baby?" I say encouraging her to continue. "Do I have a daddy?"

I freeze hearing those words, my mouth gaping like a fish. Unsure how to form the words I want to tell her. "Everyone has a daddy, baby." I finally say before stopping. "Why do you ask?" I continue my eyes never leaving hers.

"School talk about Father's Day. But I don't have one." She explained to me as she looked away fiddling with her fingers.

I reach my hand to hold hers making her look up. "I know you're confused, and that's okay. But if you ever need mummy to be daddy she can play dress up and be daddy. How does that sound?" I ask as I gently squeeze her tiny hand in mine.

A little smile make its way on her face before she gives me a little nod. "Can we have music?" She asked changing the subject.

I smile down at her as I get up walking a few steps before putting on a really bad British accent. "And what would to listen to on this fine night?" I question as I stand at the records in front of me.

I watch as she puts her thinking face on, tapping her finger to her chin. She lets out a hmm before breaking into a smile. "Queen." She cheered making me laugh.

"Queen it is then, my lady." I wink at her as I take the vinyl out and placing it on the record player. I nod my head as the music starts to play.

"Mama, just killed a man." I sung before turning to the smiling girl sitting at the table. "Come dance with me, baby." I say as I spin over to her.

I gently grab her hands as I pull her out of the chair before making us jump and spin around. 'Put a gun against his head, pull the trigger now he's dead.' The beautiful voice on the record sung as me and the small girl laughed and danced happily.

At some point I changed the record to something calm as I hold the now tired toddler in my arms. I sway as I 'hum' in her ear. And don't stop till the familiar soft snores played in my ear.

I smile as I walk to the couch in the next room placing her down before putting her pink knitted blanket over her. I brush away the brown curls from her forehead as I press a kiss on there, rubbing her cheek before getting up and making my way to the next room.

I wash the dishes as I softly sing to the song now playing my hips slightly swaying along with it. But as I dry the plates a knock on the door rung out.

Confused I look at the time to see 8:46pm on display before putting the rag and plate down as I walk to the door as another knock was made. I switch on the porch light before slowly opening the door. Keeping the chain on the door I look out to see the familiar mop on long brown hair in front of me.

"What the fuck are you doing here." I get out in shock. My mind going into a frenzy from longing to familiarity to burning rage.

He looks at me not noticing the frown forming on my face as a smiles at me. "I can't believe I'm seeing you again, you're just as beautiful as I remember."

I shut the door in his face quickly taking the chain off before opening it fully this time. He smiled as he reached his arms out, before getting met with a hard push. "How fucking dare you." I raise my voice as I continue to push him off my porch.

"You have some nerve coming here." I give him one final push making him fall into the dirt below him. He looks up at me with shock written all over his face as he lays there unsure what to do.

"W- what do you mean? Why wouldn't I come? When I heard of Lyd-" he starts to explain getting up and standing before me but getting cut off as my hand meets his face.

I look at him as my rage teared eyes meets his. "Keep her name out of your mouth. You have no right when you left me for that child." I yell seething at him. I watch as tears make their way into his eyes, looking at me like a kicked puppy.

"I'm sorry." He whispered out. I shake my head at him, "no you're not, if you were you would have never left. Never tossed away our relationship my love. But you did and for a girl you had just met. Raised her baby let her baby call you daddy. While I did all the work here by myself. Having to explain to my child why her daddy isn't here. All while you played house with a kid that isn't even fucking yours while I struggled. But see all this I did it all without you I raised her without you all me not you. So no Clyde you don't get to come into my life, her life not after everything you put me through."

"Mummy?" I turn to see the said little girl standing at the door confused with her blanket in her hand. She looks at me before looking at the man in front of me. "Who is that?"

I look at Clyde before turning away and walking to the little girl. "No one baby. Why don't you get in mummy's bed and she will be in soon, okay." I say as I stroke her head. She gives me a nod before walking away and down the hallway to my room.

I close the door leaning my head against it trying to gather myself before turning to the man behind me.

I look at him as he looks at me, I shake my head as I let out a teary chuckle. "She doesn't even know who you are." I say before continuing. "She will one day, but I watch you to remember those words she spoke when she looked at you. 'Who is that.'"

I look at him once last time watching as the tears pour down his face looking at me pleadingly, before turning away. Making my way into my house before closing the door and locking it.

Over the years I never saw clyde again but he saw me, he always did until he didn't anymore.

"I will love you forever." He cried out as he kneeled on the soil in front of my headstone, Lydia looking at her father in pity from a few feet away from him as she rocks her new born baby girl.

Well that took a dark turn can't say I'm sorry about it.
