BLEEDING

Ch-1- GOT IT

The nurse knocked on a door bearing a sign board which read                                                                   Dr. MARY CANES (head doctor / head of gynaecology & paedriatic departments/ head of surgery)                                                                                                                                                                              "Enter" said a soft yet sharp voice.  

The nurse entered the handsome room which usually looked very lively due to fairy lights, fresh flowers and beautiful interior of the cabin but today it was dimly lit and the heavy rain splattering glass windows added an unusual gloom to the cabin as well as the owner of it. However it was as well organized as always. She had her back to the door and was facing windows behind her desk which was highly organized too. She was rocking on her chair back and forth. Her apron on her chair and her stethoscope on the table. Her eyes were shut and she was wearing a frown as though giving a deep thought to something. She was scratching her left eyebrow with left index finger(a sign of anxiety or stress) casting a shadow over her face thus making it unrecognizable.

 "Dr. Mary?" said the nurse going through the files in her hands as her usual work routine. "hmm?" The nurse continued "Dr. Mary I've cancelled all your appointments for two days as you said but...." "But?" asked Mary. "there's a surgery scheduled for tomorrow". She ended hesitantly. Mary's frown deepened and she thought for a second before saying "alright give that case file to Dr. Ashley." The nurse nodded and proceeded to leave but Mary said "and yeah Daisy would you please tell her 'I got it'."

 The nurse looked confused but she knew Mary too well that she thought better not to ask her about it at the moment. She nodded with a smile and left the cabin then walked to the other end of the corridor still confused and knocked on another door bearing sign board                                    Dr. ASHLEY CANES (head of nephrology department/ deputy head of surgery)

 "Yes?" said a child like sweet voice. The nurse peeked through the door and called "Dr. Ashley?" "Oh Daisy come in please." said Ashley smiling sitting behind her desk babbling something to the stuffed toy in her hand. It would have looked completely out of the world to an outsider that being a Paediatrician Mary's cabin didn't had any single toy but Ashley's cabin was filled with stuffed toys.(usually for herself). She was a 25 years old beautiful woman with bushy and a little curly chocolate brown hair and hazel almond eyes with long curly lashes. Her bunny like front teeth suited her childish behaviour. Her height although made her look like a bunny itself. Her small nose and full reddish lips were like cherry on the top on her ivory skin. "Dr. Ashley is something wrong with Mary ma'am?'' "Why would you ask that Daisy?" asked Ashley frowning.

"Because she hadn't eaten a grain from morning and you know how cautious she is about being healthy and taking meals on time." Ashley laughed a bit and said "Daisy you care about her too much maybe she isn't hungry at the moment. After all she is unusually disciplined for a human being." she ended her sentence with raised eyebrows and a shrug. Daisy continued "But ma'am she also cancelled all her appointments and surgeries for two days, and she sent me to give the surgery file scheduled for tomorrow." At these words Ashley frowned a little taking the file from Daisy and asked "Is she going overseas for any meeting or are there any plans at home?" The nurse replied "no ma'am." Yes something was off about the situation, if Mary had any plans Ashley would be first person to know about them.
