-Even Monsters have Nightmares-

A dry voice echoed in his mind "Why are you doing this?.. Weren't you supposed to be the savior of us all?" the girl said in desperation leaving him with a sense of guilt then another voice was heard, not another, his voice "You were right, they left me.." the words making him sick to the stomach with the girl responding simply with a "I told you so". A dance of contradiction was playing in his head "My people won't leave me", "They throw you away like an old bag", "They adore me, they love me!! ", "They looked at you like at the ultimate jerk", "B-b-but I'm they're hero!".. "They left me.." were the last words he heard while falling in a suffocating darkness.

Damian woke up breathing heavily with a terrified look on his face
-"Calm down, boss ! Jeez, I didn't know even monsters have nightmares" said giggling in a jokingly tone a Chinese girl with dark hair in two buns, yellow-ish eyes and a star birthmark on her right cheek who was now protecting herself from a rageing Damian cuz the only persone who named him monster till then was that mistery girl who he just couldn't stand even tho he couldn't remember who she was.
He attacked the poor girl until the other members dragged him down and he started fummeing "Do I look like a monster to you? Hmm? DO I? I'm shining and handsome and you wouldn't even have where to sleep if it weren't for me to help you! Would you now Sying? If this place that's run by a " monster " isn't good enough for you then you can find yourself out in the street! "
" Alright, alright, I'm sorry uncle Damian, your highness! "she said rolling her eyes

While a nephew and a uncle were arguing, another fight started at the other side of the city

-" We had a contract, Lilith! Twelve years without any adoptions and I take back the mansion! "
-" But there are two months left!" said lilith trying to defend herself
-"Face it old lady, if there haven't been any adoptions until now there is no chance there will be any in two months! So go and pack your things!"
The orphans started a protest screaming things like "Only cruel people take away some child's home" and alix run up to the guy and said crying "Please do not take away the orphanege from miss lilith, where are we supposed to sleep if you take it away?" but he responded rigidly "In the trash where you belong, you little rats!", hearing those harsh words alix jumped in my arms.

And that was enough for me to take the baldest and most unthinkable decision of my life - "I am going to adopt this child", all eyes were pointed in my direction "You heard me! Lilith said there still are two months left, more then enough for me to complete and send the adoption files and you can't take away those children's home anymore!". The guy stormed off angrily and alix's eyes lit up with joy.
After the jerk left, lilith told me: " You don't have to do this just to save the orphanege, we'll find a way, your young and I don't want you to do things only to save us from my mistakes", "It's alright lilith, I wanna adopt alix, I just couldn't stand to see that man talk like that to her and I just wanna know she is safe. I just have a question... Where can I get the adoption files?" I asked with a burgeoning excitement.

I went on and asked around for indications to where I could find the city hall while alix who I just couldn't stop from coming with me tried to keep up with me when suddenly she felt an arm twirling around her neck like a snake "what does such a beautifull, young girl do around the town?" said a drunk men with red eyes who was smoking in her face but alix couldn't even mumble anything ."Dont you want a candy, you little toy?" he said with a rasping tone, " N-no.. I should really keep going and try to find Aggie.." the man grabbed her harder scretching her shoulders "Ohh, but little object don't you even wanna try it?!" he said but alix just tried to free herself from their grasp "EAT IT, YOU COW!" he said irritated trying to force the candy down her throat while alix started crying succeeding to only say "A-a-aggie" and I appeard all red of anger

I placed my little innocent alix in my back keeping her safe in my wings and started screaming to the creep. Who did he think he was? he couldn't take away my alix, my little innocent alix and as my rage grew so did the terrified stares around me but little did i know that protecting my new sister (cuz calling her my child was weird as I was a child myself) was now a crime. A whole crowd full of people and reporters gathered around us and the gruesome man run with his tail between his legs saying that I looked like a creature from his nightmares and even tho now the "hero's" were on my track I calmed down knowing alix was safe in my arms.
