Doni's pov:
After that awkward conversation, I decided to enter Lynix's house. Opening the door, I walked up the stairs, now walking towards his bedroom door and entering it. I examined his room. It was neat and clean, just like always.. My thoughts inevitably went to Lynix. I remembered all of the things I said to him, remembering his tear-stained eyes.. It broke my heart to pieces. That idiot... he always finds a way to make me feel guilty... he's really good at making me feel guilty.. I sat down on the bed and let out an exhausted sigh. Lynix will probably find his way home, it's no big deal... I thought, but I doubt that..
I suddenly felt something brush against my leg. I looked down, to see lynix's cat, batman brushing himself against me.. I let out a small chuckle, before reaching my arm to pet the black cat. Batman greeted me by scratching my hand, and I let out a small yelp and flinched back. I held my hand, which started bleeding from the scratch. I let out a pained moan. I turned towards the cat and growled. "W-what was that for!?" I shouted. I knew that stupid cat didn't understand me anyway..
I felt how batman tried to pull my leg by bitting on my pants, and pulling it. I groaned out of annoyance, not exactly understanding what the cat meant. I tried to kick him, but he just continued pulling on my pants more and more. I stood up, and tried to kick batman away. I stopped, and realized that batman was pulling me towards the door, mad about its owner's dissappearence.
I sighed, defeated. "Fine, fine! I'll go get lynix.." The moment I said that, batman immediately let go. Its like the cat can understand me.. it freaked me out a bit. I rolled my eyes, before walking out of the door. I walked outside, getting deja vu. I didn't want to enter that complicating forest again.. I sighed, but then remembered something.
"I have wings!" I exclaimed, my hands covering my face in embarrassment. How could I forget?? Though I had injured my wings before, I wasn't sure if they could still function properly. With a deep breath, I opened them wide, attempting to take to the skies once more. However, the effort was futile as I stumbled and collapsed back onto the ground. Undeterred, I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and tried again. Once... twice... four times, each attempt ended in a stumble or a fall... I was so close to giving up.. until I tried a fifth time. With a sudden burst of strength, I found myself rising from the ground, my feet wasn't touching them anymore!
I could feel a wave of happiness wash over me. I smiled that I have gained the ability to fly again, oh how much I have missed flying.. I flew high into the sky, searching for the location lynix was before. Once I saw the familiar trees, I immediately knew that must be where lynix is. I quickly flew towards the area, slowing down once getting closer and closer to the ground. I shut my wings, and landed safely onto the ground. Once landing, I immediately looked around, observing my surroundings. I raised my voice, and began to call out lynix's name. "Lynix! Lynixx!! Are you there!?"
Twenty minutes has gone by.. and I found myself still searching for that moron. A sigh escaped my lips, a symbol of my growing hopelessness. I had searched far and wide, yet I felt no closer to finding him... until the sound of soft sobbing reached my ears. I turned, my eyes fixating on a nearby tree, the source of the sound. With cautious steps, I approached the trunk, the sobbing grow louder and louder...
I slowly peeked infront of thee tree, finding lynix, who was sobbing while hugging his knees. The sight made my eyes grow wide. I didn't think that it would affect him this much.. It schocked me how my own best friend I have known for 4-5 years straight, now crying because of my cruel and heartbreaking words right in front of me. I rarely see him cry.. I awkwardly walk towards him, not wanting to make eye contact, and sat down right besides him. There was an akward silence for like 2 minutes, before I broke it.
"Hey.."
