As Alastor noticed a letter underneath his door so he decided to pick it up and read it.
"Are you okay after what happened last night? I just wanted to check if you were. Just saying it's okay to cry or not smile sometimes
-- Sincerely Lucifer Morningstar"

He read out loud looking at the letter and noticing it had a tear stain on it and some of the ink was smudged on a bit of the letter.
Alastor touched the part that was smudged and saw that Lucifer had crossed out something on the letter.
"Yours sincerely-"
He read as he cressed the side of the letter as he stared at it for a while wondering why he began to write yours sincerely as the ending of the letter.
He thought for a second and probably thought it would be polite of him to write a letter back to the king.
So he grabbed his pen and a piece of paper from his diary.

He began writing with his pen gliding the ink swiftly across the paper worn down by time.
He hadn't written a letter to anyone since he lived on earth and had to post one to a far away friend.
He began to write.

"That seems good enough-"
Alastor said without noticing he had put 'love Alastor' on the ending of the note he was going to send to the short king.
He began to get dressed in his usual clothing and head downstairs.

As I walked down the stairs I noticed the king talking to his daughter with a smile on his face that could light up the whole room.
I looked at Lucifer admiring how nice he looked-
Wait....
What's going on.
Surely I'm not.
It could never happen.

Lucifer looked over at Alastor and saw he looked kinda spooked so he walked over to him.
"Anything wrong?"
Lucifer asked me.
I didn't know how to respond so I just stuttered.
"U- Uh nope"
Oh god why'd I stutter-
Well I mean I know why I stuttered.
"Okay..."
Lucifer looked at me weirdly before walking away and got back to chatting to Charlie about the hotel and everything to do with sinners and getting more people to come into the hotel.
And talking about renovations and tons of stuff like that.

I decided that I wanted a cup of tea so I walked towards the kitchen and started making it.
I thought I heard someone walking behind me so I turned around and there was angel looking at me with a smirk on his face.
"I saw the way you were lookin' at the king~"
Angel dust said to me as I just turned around annoyed and continued making my tea annoyed that he saw me and was alaborating it like that I was in love or something.
"Whatcha doin?"
Charlie asked as she ran up to angel.
"Nothin' just talkin' to smiles"
I hated that nickname so much I wish he'd call me anything but smiles. It's such a weird nickname for somebody.
I do kind of understand how it would be easy to just call me smiles because to them that's all I do.
