• • • In celebration of the upcoming publishing of my book, I started this little project which aims to translate the first few chapters of the novel to English. Depending on its reception I might consider translating it completely, but for now this will only be a fun little pastime, in hopes that eventually, if enough people care to read it, it will become a full project. Please keep in mind that English is NOT my first language and that I still have a lot to learn in regards of grammar, especially when it comes to dialogue. So I will probably be making more than a few mistakes. Please, don't be afraid to point them out for me! in fact I would greatly appreciate it, since it will help me get better at this. If you can read Spanish, there's always the Spanish version of the novel, all twenty chapters of the first book, with music and illustrations, available for reading on my profile! As well as other fantastic ongoing as well as fully finished stories!

• • • This work was inspired and incorporates multiple elements of folklore, traditions, cuisine, and customs from multiple regions and time periods from the Middle East. However, it takes place in a fictional, uchronic universe; therefore the places, people, names, ethnicities, concepts, terms, and references it may contain, while they may be influenced to some extent by real-life aspects, are entirely fantastical and created specifically for the novel's setting and ambientation. For this very reason, this work should not be, in any way or under any circumstances, taken as a faithful representation of any real-life culture, nor should it be used as a reliable source of information or reference, much less as a basis for hate speech or political, cultural, and/or racial controversies. Likewise, any resemblance to reality in the situations here depicted, the names, the characters, and the topics covered, are either coincidental or an alternate version of events, modified and adapted to suit the imaginary context of the novel.

With that clarified, I hope you enjoy the reading!
