Y/ns povI had a cheer comp today, and I was extremely nervous.
Sure, I have like two each month, but it was still nerve racking each time, without fail.
I was a flyer, and as easy as it looks, it can be hard, or more so scary. I mean think about it, a girl, the same age as you, who might even be lighter than you, throws you into the air, and you just have to hope that they catch you. Like I'm pretty sure I gained trust issues from cheerleading.
But some of my favorite moments were from cheerleading. I really did love cheer with like 60% of my heart. Mostly cause my main sport is gymnastics, but cheerleading was still extremely enjoyable.
I was currently doing my hair in a super high pony. That was expected, and if your hair is down, they will literally force you to put it up.
I put like a pound of hairspray in my hair and moved onto my makeup.
I curled my eye lashes, did my mascara, concealer, highlighter, and a sparkly pink eyeshadow to match my cheer uniform. I put on my white cheer shoes, and left to the car.
I opened the passengers seat and sat next to my mom. "You ready for competition?!" My mom excitedly asked me. "yeah," I lied. I wasn't, but I didn't want her worrying.
"Oh, I'm so excited to watch you!" She exclaimed. My mom gets so excited about these things, it's honestly adorable to watch her get all happy.
"How long do we have to drive?" I questioned. "Only an hour," my mom replied, still in a happy tone.
I sighed of relief. Now I have time to calm myself before I have to go on stage and compete.

Today i didn't have anything big going on. I only had baseball practice, and that was it.
Luna said that she was going to watch y/n compete in a cheerleading competition, but y/n doesn't know.
She asked if I wanted to come, and although I kinda wanted to, I couldn't.
Baseball practice was the only thing stopping me.Luna had already left, and mom was driving me to baseball.
She stopped the car and I got out, walking to the field.

It was my teams turn next, so me and my teammates walked onto the stage, and got into position. We did our routine, it was easier than I thought. My coach had me do a back tuck, and then quickly do a front handspring, into a middle split, and it was easier than I thought, honestly.
The crowd cheered as we ended the routine and walked off the stage, still remaining our winning smiles.
As soon as we walked back stage, I took a deep breath, and got a drink of water. I swear, if I didn't do cheer of gymnastics i'd be like 50 pounds heavier, because the sports I do sure work me out!
We were the last team to go on stage, so all the teams walked out, and went in front of the judges as they announced who was 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
"And in third place... Is Hazeltucky high!" The judge exclaimed, as the cheer captain of that team walked up and took the bronze medal.
They announced another team and that cheer coach went up and took the silver medal.
This is first place. Please say royal woods, please say royal woods.
"And last but certainly not least, in first place..... Royal woods!!" The judge exclaimed.
Our cheer coach, Lexi walked up and took the award. The gold award. Oh my God, we actually won!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!
Everyone walked off stage and went back to our families.
I widened my eyes when I saw Luna sitting next to my mom. When did she get here? Oh well, I'm not complaining.
"Y/n!" Luna exclaimed. "You did amazing! That back flip thingy was really cool!!" Luna was not super up-to-date with cheerleading terminology.
"Yeah!! That was really cool!" My mom exclaimed sitting next to my mom.
"Thanks! I practiced for like two weeks to get that!" I replied, with a huge grin on my face.
We left, and I felt satisfied.
Before we left, the judges gave everyone else on the winning teams medals.
I sat in the passengers seat, feeling content with myself. I felt I put in my all with that routine, I don't even know why I was so nervous.

I was waiting for Mom to come pick me up, since baseball practice was over.
I saw vanzilla pull up, and hopped up from my bench, walking over to the van.
I got in the backseat since Luna was in the passengers seat.
"How was baseball, hunny?" Mom asked.
"It was good. How did y/n do at her competition?" I replied, kinda avoiding my mom, and pulling up a different topic.
"She crushed it! Her team won, and she did amazing. I never saw her smile drop!" Luna exclaimed.
I smiled. I was happy for y/n. She honestly has grown on me.
When we got home, I immediately went to my room, and pulled out my phone, to congratulate, y/n.
