In Ikebukuro is a place where all yokai live and can coexist with the humans. Izaya Orihara a wearwolf was walking out of Ikebukuro to go to a small town. When he got to this small town he saw something very interesting in the river and saw a little neko boy in the water, and went to his aid. He rescued the little boy and doing cpr to wake him up, so the little boy did and was surprised that someone found and saved him from dying. Izaya the werewolf asked the little neko for his name and why was he all alone? The little neko said his name is Mikado and was abandoned from his parents for being a neko. Izaya decides to take Mikado with him to live in Ikebukuro and tells Mikado he can come with him. Mikado is very happy that he will have a home and someone will love him and take care of him. They both left the small town to go to their destination to Ikebukuro.
