"Hey Maddie~" Madison looks up from her book at Lilith. "Huh?" Lilith looks excited, very excited. "Guess what's coming up!!" Madison looks slightly clueless. "What's coming up?" Lilith looks offended, "You don't remember??? Fine, I'll tell you. Our 9 year anniversary of being friends is coming up!!!" Madison chuckles, "Right, how dare I forget? How shall I make it up to you?" Lilith pouts at Madison and crosses her arms, "You shall bake me brownies after school and bring them to me tomorrow! That's the only way I'll forgive you Madia~" Madison laughs a bit, "Are you really using my dad's nickname for me?" Lilith smirks. "So what if I am? It's a cute nickname, I like it." Madison swats her away. "Whatever, go to class, I'll have your brownies for you in the morning." Before Lilith leaves the room she loudly says one last thing. "Happy nine years bestie!~" That makes a small smile appear on Madisons face.
Nine years ago, Willson Elementary, Mrs. Kristens 1st grade classroom.
In the back of the classroom there was a new girl, she was sitting on a beanbag minding her own business. When suddenly she feels a presence behind her. She looks up and sees a brown haired girl staring at her from above. "Hi!" The girl moves to the side a bit. "I'm Madison, what's your name???" The new girl is slightly annoyed by the random girl so she doesn't answer at first, but after a but of pestering she answers. "Lilith... My name is Lilith..." Lilith always gets told her name doesn't match her a lot all, she slowly looks up fully expecting Madison to have a weird expression on her face, but no... All that Madison shows on her face is kindness and administration... "Lilith... That's a beautiful name! How old are you? What's your birthday?? Do you live close to the school?! Where'd you move from?" That reaction... Those questions... They just... Sparked something in Lilith... After that day they got closer and closer... Till now of course!
Present day!
Madison is waiting for her step dad Tim to pick her up from school when suddenly she feels a pair of hands from behind pick her up. "I got you!" She can hear Lilith's laughs from behind her, "Hey! Come on let go!" Madison can't help but also laugh, "Come on, Tim is about to pick me up, you know how much he dislikes you." Madison's family has never liked Lilith, they've always really thought she's a bad influence on her. "Fine... But don't forget the brownies tomorrow." That makes Madison chuckle a bit, "I won't, don't worry." Madison looks towards the school entrance and sees her step dads car pulling in. "Welp... It's time for me to go, see you tomorrow though!" When she sees him stop she runs over to the car and gets in the way back. Lilith is of course sad that Madison is gone, but she'll see her tomorrow so she doesn't mind too much.
