Jhiye

The heavy silence in the room hung like a shroud over Jhiye, her heart pounding in her chest as she stared at Dahye and the bound figures of her elder brothers, Jeongsuk and Jisang. The shock of their captivity sent a cold wave of dread through her body, but she knew she couldn't afford to lose her composure now.

Dahye's smirk was a chilling reminder that this was a game, and the stakes were higher than ever.

"Dahye," Jhiye's voice trembled, a mix of fear and anger coursing through her veins. "What is this? Why are you doing this to us?"

Dahye's eyes gleamed with a twisted satisfaction as she slowly paced around the room, her presence commanding and ominous.

"Oh, Jhiye, you still don't understand, do you?" she said, her tone condescending. "This isn't just about you, or Sam, or even your brothers. This is about power, control, and settling old scores."

Jhiye's mind raced, trying to piece together the fragments of information she had. Dahye's betrayal was like a knife to the heart, but the fact that she had involved Jeongsuk and Jisang made it all the more personal.

The realization that her family was being used as pawns in Dahye's cruel game ignited a fire of determination within her.

"You won't get away with this," Jhiye hissed, her voice low but filled with resolve. "Hyunjin and the others—they'll come for me. For us. And when they do, you'll regret ever crossing me."
Dahye let out a laugh, the sound cold and devoid of humor.

"Oh, I'm counting on them coming, Jhiye. But by the time they do, it'll be too late. The pieces are already in place, and soon, everything you hold dear will crumble."

Jhiye's eyes darted to her brothers, their expressions a mix of fear and defiance. They had always been her protectors, the ones who stood by her through thick and thin. The thought of losing them to Dahye's twisted vendetta was unbearable. She needed to find a way to turn the tables and outsmart Dahye before it was too late.

As if sensing her resolve, Dahye stepped closer, her eyes narrowing with a predatory gleam. "You've always been so naïve, Jhiye," she whispered, her voice dripping with disdain. "Trusting the wrong people, believing in the goodness of others. But this world isn't kind, and neither am I. I've waited too long for this moment."

Jhiye forced herself to meet Dahye's gaze, refusing to let her fear show. "You might think you've won, but you underestimate me," she said, her voice steady. "I won't let you destroy my family."
Dahye's smirk faltered for a brief moment, a flicker of something unreadable passing through her eyes before she quickly masked it with indifference.

"We'll see about that," she replied coolly. "But for now, I have other matters to attend to."

Without another word, Dahye turned on her heel and signaled for her goons to follow her. As they left the room, Jhiye's heart sank further. She was alone with her brothers, but the oppressive weight of their situation was suffocating.

Jhiye rushed to Jeongsuk and Jisang, her hands trembling as she tried to free them from their restraints. "Hold on," she whispered, her voice cracking with emotion. "I'll get you out of this. I promise."
