A Blooming Love

The meeting between Nami's and Luffy's family had been a success and they were all very happy but above all else, Dragon, Luffy's father was not only happy but proud of his son. He thought that nobody could make luffy fall in love but a certain orange haired girl definitely proved him wrong.

It was decided that the marriage documents were to be signed next week.

Both families had asked to two lovebirds about the wedding, but they both said the same thing

"We can do that later, for now....I want to get a house to live with him/her"

Although a bit hesitant both the families complied with their request

The night had come to end but now we focus on a certain conversion Genzo and Luffy had in private before leaving.

"So..Luffy are you sure about this?"

"Yes...yes a million times, there is no other person I would rather marry"

"Alright then promise me this..."

"and that is..?"

"You..will always protect her smile at all costs and never make her cry"

Luffy gave him a warm smile while holding his strawhat and said

"I swear on this Strawhat that I will protect Nami till my deathbed"

Genzo knew how important that Strawhat was to him, so he was relieved to hear those words

"Thanks Luffy"

"No problem! Uhh.. dad?" Luffy said hesitantly

"You can call me dad" Genzo said while laughing

"Goodnight Luffy"

"Goodnight dad!"

Luffy was about to leave but then

"Oi Luffy, one more thing!" Genzo called him back and passed him a piece of paper

"Here's Nami's number" Genzo said with a smirk on his face

"Thanks dad!!!!" Luffy could swear at that time that he had never been more happy

A few minutes later

It was finally time to say their goodbyes for a while.

"Luffyy!!" Nami called out to him

"huh?" Luffy looked around

Nami was standing directly in front of him

"Na-" before he could say another word Nami pulled on his tie and sealed their lips together for a full minute before pulling away.

"Those lips are mine and only mine. Until next time Luffy~" Nami said as she walked back to her parent's car

Her mother was very proud about that bold move and also very happy not only because she had already fallen for him but also because she can tease her about it for a long time now

Her father's jaw fell open but was happy for her.

Dragon couldn't see anything that happened because he had to take an important business call
And Luffy?

He was dumbfouned, astonished and his entire face was red as a tomato, his heart was beating faster than ever and he couldn't resist the urge to scream out to Nami

"Nami!!!"
Nami looked around as she was about to enter her parent's car

"I"
"LOVE"
"YOU!!"

Nami was a blushing mess but couldn't resist a smile on her face and she wanted to..no..she had to scream out
"I LOVE YOU TOO YOU IDIOT"

As she entered her father's car and rolled down the window and once more screamed at him

"STAY SAFE AND STAY AWAY FROM OTHER GIRLS!!"

As her father drove off

Luffy chuckled a bit and screamed just before her father drove off "YOU TOO!!"

A few minutes later,

Luffy got in to his father's car and Dragon asked him "So what did I miss?"

Luffy still had a little bit of blush on his face and said "Nothing much"

"Those screams didn't sound like 'Nothing much'"

Luffy rubbed the back of his head and smiled at his father and asked him "Dad?"

"hmm? Yes?"

"Do you...think I can be a good husband?"

Dragon chuckled as he never thought those words would come from his son but answered

"Its not what I think Luffy, do you want to be a good husband?"

"Yes!"

"Then there is your answer, you will be a good husband luffy, I know it, protect her and her trust above all else.."

"I will dad..I swear I will"

"Good, oh and also remember luffy that marriage is like a journey and you two will face a lot of difficulties, are you prepared to face them?"

"............."

Meanwhile,

"So what was that back there?" bellemere asked her daughter with a smirk

"W-what was what?"

"don't act like you don't know what I am talking about"

"W-well I am going to meet him again after a week soo you know!"

"I know what?"

"I uhh..had to mark him..as mine.."

Nami was now as red as a tomato

Bellemere gave out a laugh and headpat her daughter

"Good, don't let him get stolen"

"Ofcourse not, He is mine and only mine!!"

Bellemere and Genzo both gave out a laugh

Realising what she had just said, Nami was extremely embarrassed but didn't take back a single word

"Nami" Genzo called out to her
"Y-yes?"

"Remember marriage is a journey and you two will face a lot of difficulties, are you prepared to face them?"

"........."

On the otherside with luffy and his dad,

"So?"

Both of them had been asked the same question at the same time, by a stroke ofluck and fate, and they both answered the same thing,

"I am willing to go through any challenge the world may put against us as longas....she/he is by my side!!"
