It's a sunny Saturday. I'm on my way to my elder sister's house. I'm always bored on Saturdays because I usually don't have anything to do. I reached her house and was about to ring the bell when suddenly the door opened and Savin was there with his adorable smile.
He turned 13 this year, he's in 8th grade. My sister and I live in the same city so I visit her everytime I get free just to meet my adorable niece.
"Aunt Diana! Come inside!" He welcomed me and I saw my sister Barrett smiling at me from the kitchen.
"Hey, what makes you here?" She asks me while wiping her hands.
I sat on the sofa and said "Nothing, just wanted to see Savin"
I looked at him, he was pouring his favorite cold drink for us. "So, Savvy, you're an 8th grader finally".
"Don't call me that!" His irritated face just looks like my sister. "Yes I am in 8th grade finally, the senior most in middle school. I asked mom what the whole three years of middle school was like for her, but she just ignored my question".
I looked at my sister "Why would you do that to Savin, Barr? And Savin, if you have any questions about um... things... then you know you can ask me". I have a special bond with Savin, I share every bit of my life with him.
"Hey Diana, what about your college, how are your exams going?" Felix, my brother in law asked. He is more worried about my future than I myself am. "I'm doing OK bro, my semester exams are almost over". I said, with a 'don't worry about me' face. I have a degree in Criminal Justice and this is my last year (I'm 24y/o). I only have this one final exam left for this year and I'll successfully have a degree.
Savin sat on the sofa and took a sip from his glass. "What was middle school was like for you, Aunt? I wanna know, how were you like back then, and what things happened to you".
I love telling him each and every part of my life and I was waiting for this question.
"You wanna know?" I asked.
"Yes! Obvi"
"Alright then, it's a long story though."
"Let's begin!" I saw the cute spark in his eyes.
"Right!"
