-DIANNA'S POV-
Everything in this house is big, the balcony included. I didn't sleep well so I slid out of the sliding glass doors attached to my guest room and watched the sunrise from it. It was beautiful.
I miss the dreams I had back in Italy. My dreams were the highlight of my day there. Here in England it seems like my dreams only exist to taunt and torment me.
Now, though, I'm back in the big white room waiting for someone to come and get me. I would go and explore the house a little since no one showed me around yesterday but I'm too anxious, I have been since I got here. Luckily it's starting to subside because I doubled up on my pills.
I hope Arturo won't be mad at me for going through my prescription faster, I'll have to get my next box from the other guard, the blonde one. Arturo showed me his picture, I didn't see him out there last time but I'm sure I'll find him.
I'd like to avoid seeing the one with the dragon tattoo for as long as possible.
As though she heard my thoughts, Loren entered the guest room with a pile in her hands, carefully placing it down on the bed and sending me a tired smile.
She looks angelic.
"I saw that you packed a little light, thought you might need a few more outfits since you guys are gonna be here for a while." She said, sitting beside me on the bed and pulling her black sweatshirt.
"I haven't fit into any of these clothes in at least a year so I'm not sure why I held onto them but I figured now is the right moment to let go, anything you don't want you're free to donate." She smiled.
"Thank you, Loren." I said, keeping my voice down and looking through the pile.
She nodded, pulling something out of the pile and putting it down beside me before standing up. "Shatter Me, the first of six novels. There are like five novellas after that, so if you're into it, it'll keep you busy."
I held the book, smiling up at her.
"I'm more of a Juliette kinda girl but you'll love Aaron Warner for sure. Anyways, we should probably head down, breakfast is gonna hit the table in five minutes and my brothers go on like they're ravenous." She took my hand, pulling me up and leading me down the stairs to the dining area where we ate dinner yesterday.
Everyone was already seated so there weren't many chairs left, Loren found hers quickly and started talking to Nicholas about something, I couldn't make out what. All I could hear was my heart thumping violently in my ears.
I put my head down, avoiding their stares and took a seat next in between Ian and Verity.
Ian hates me, but he's predictable. If he wants to hurt me, he'll be obvious about it, maybe Verity would protect me.
Who am I kidding, of course she wouldn't. But it's too late now.
"Good morning hun." Verity said.
"Morning." I spoke through a smile.
"You seriously don't have any other clothes, huh?" Ian scoffed, earning a glare from everyone else at the table, staring at the black dress that I never changed out of.
I felt my face sink but staved off any embarrassment, I don't have any dignity left to defend.
"Well, it really doesn't matter wether you do or not because me, Nevaeh and Loren planned on taking you shopping today." Verity said, making brief eye contact with Ian when she first began talking.
