'This ought to be fun' I thought as I took my new badge, looking forward for my first day of a new job. Well not really my actual job yet. I was just coming in to be an assistant for my mother who told me about working in her corporate office. I didn't really want to work in a boring office but my mom insisted that I at least tried it out   because my actual job at the moment was about to be laying off a lot of people and seeing as though my part wasn't that important, it was inevitable.

"Y/N, dear, could you help me out and print 35 copies of this layout" My mother asked, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Oh yah, I'll do that" I said. She smiled and thanked me

As I got to the printers, I quickly notice that they were hard to use. So many buttons meant so many possible ways to mess things up. I got startled by a small noise behind me. I jumped back to find a blonde haired man staring at me, he being also startled.

"I'm so sorry...I-I didn't mean to scare you, I was wondering if you needed help with the printer..." He stuttered awkwardly. It was kinda cute; he was kinda cute.

"Uh...yah, thanks" I laughed. I stepped out of the way so he could work the machine. I noticed he was wearing skinny jeans, a button up, and a fedora. He asked me how many copies I needed and I said," 35....they are for my mom, I'm just her assistant for the day"

"Oh what's her name, I might work with her?" He asked. "Y/M/N, what's your name?" I asked shyly.

"Patrick, yours?"

"Y/N" I replied

"Y/N" He said, as if trying it out. "That's a beautiful name" He said smiling, making me blush.

"Can I ask you out for coffee later?" He asked shyly

"Yah...that would be great" I said

"Awesome, oh here are your papers. I accidentally printed 36 but.." He quickly took out a pen and wrote his number down. "There, so we don't waste paper, call me when you get out of work, okay?" He said smiling

"Yeah, I'll do that." I said while he walked off. Guess this job wasn't that bad after all.
