The bell for recess has rung and I was packing my things to go to the cafeteria. I walked out of the class with Zoya making our way towards the cafeteria. We both were looking for our friends and there, we find them stuffing their mouth with food. We both laughed at them and made our way towards them.
We approached them and Zoya asked "Can't you guys wait a minute." Hitting Aryan's head who was busy eating his food like an animal. Eklavya replied, "Hume laga tum dono ko janamo lag jayenge aane mein"
{We thought it would take lives for you both to come}
I stood their enjoying the scene but suddenly Anisha hit my elbow and said "Darling, tu kya soch rhi hai , bhookhi marne ka irada hai kya? Khana kha le kyunki ye school apne baap ki property mein nhi aata ki jab Mann kiya tab kha liya."
{Darling, what are you thinking, do you intend to starve to death? Eat the food because this school is not included in our father's property that whenever we want to we can eat.}
To which I replied "I wish it would have been included" "Bade -Bade sapne"Eklavya added. {Big dreams}
"Aur tu Anisha ki bacchi meri cupcake ko darling bulana band karde warna Tera khoon kar dunga Mai" Said Aryan who has finally completed his appetite.
{And you Anisha, stop calling my cupcake darling, otherwise I will kill you}
I was enjoying their banter and eating my burger. The whole cafeteria was full of chaos. But then suddenly Zoya glared at me to stop both of them as their voices were a bit loud. So I said "You both stop calling me darling and cupcake, you both can't call me that and lower your voices" I finished only to find both of them smirking towards me only to hear them asking, "Then who can call you that?"Anisha asked to which Eklavya replied "Umm...let's guess" "Oh I See , it's marshmallow. Right Cupcake? " My cheeks flushed immediately and they continued to tease me and I thought to keep my mouth shut after being embarrassed. I stood up to throw the box of muffins in dustbin when suddenly bell rang.
We all started to run as it was our first English period in 11 grade after our board exams and our English teacher, Miss Aleena will definitely punish us if we'll be a minute late and will definitely complain about me to my brother as he was her favourite student but not me. I don't understand who the hell is she to make conflict between me and my brother when my parents don't compare us.
I was busy in my own world when I hit into a hard wall but wait.... from where did this wall came in between? Ohh it's a human. Then I turned back and found Anisha looking at me with horrified expression as if she has seen a ghost and the others had already flew away. And then I suddenly realised and looked at the wall...I mean the person whom I have bumped in. And guess what he was my senior, he gave me stern and cold look. Anisha mumbled in my ear, "He's a very rude and cold boy, you're gone Aadu" I looked at him with fear and tried to say, " So-sorry , I-I di-didn't me-mean to do that. I'm really very sorry" But to my surprise,I heard him chuckling and he said ruffling my hair "It's okay, but take care from next time." I sighed in relief, when reality hit me I took Anisha's hand and started running towards the class. To my surprise we weren't late. I am lucky today . I sat on my seat with Aryan beside me and took my books out.
Few minutes passed, but miss didn't came so we all started chatting and laughing. Aryan said "Seems like she has forgotten the route" to which Anisha and eklavya laughed like maniac. "Who has forgotten the route Aryan?" I heard Miss Aleena shouting and twisting Aryan's ear. Then she looked at me and yelled "You fool what do you think of yourself hnn?? You were laughing, what do you think just by securing first position in the board exams you became Albert Einstein" Tears sprang in my eyes listening to her how can she say that it was just First position, it was my hardwork and my dream since childhood. Yes, I was the topper of the board examination in my school that too in ICSE board but still because of this woman I was always neglected in school by her and some of the other female teachers too. My family praised me as if I have won a war and my brothers they danced like they received their luck on the day of my result. This was a just for her.
After yelling at me, she went to her sychophants. I tried to ignore her words but they were ringing in my mind. I felt a rough yet gentle hand on my wrist it was of Aryan comforting me from the pain. None of friends can see me in pain , I gave him a tight lipped smile and engrossed myself in the books remembering how my friends used to shush me when I used to cry.
The school was over and I sighed that finally I'll get to catch some good sleep. I was waiting when I saw Agastya coming with Yatharth, Shivya and Aarav along with him. They're my heart, my babies. They all came and hugged me and that was it when we heard Arya Bhai calling us to get inside the SUV. I sat near the window and closed my eyes.
