They've remained happy together ever since. The rest of the Snuggly Duckling gang all fulfilled their dreams too.. The past me never would've thought I'd say this, but I'm really happy for them!
Lightning was promoted to an official member of the Royal Guard, ranking higher than most of the human soldiers. And thanks to him, crime in the Kingdom disappeared almost overnight.. As did most of the apples.
Buzzy never changed, keeping Dan company and entertaining the children in the kingdom with his colour changing tricks whenever they saw him.
At last, Dan was home and he finally had a real family. He was a prince worth waiting for, beloved by all, he led his Kingdom with all the wisdom and kindness that his parents did before him.
And as for me, well I started going by Ajit again, stopped thieving and basically turned it all around... But I know what the big question is, did Dan and I ever get married? Well, I'm pleased to tell you, we did. And we're living happily ever-"
