Pablo had made up his mind. He was going to take the risk today. His heart was racing with both excitement and fear, but he knew this might be his only chance. He would spend the entire day with Stell and confess when the sun dipped below the horizon.

Early that morning, Pablo rose before anyone else. He took his time preparing Stell's favorite breakfast—pancakes with strawberries. Once finished, he made his way to Stell's room. The sight of Stell peacefully sleeping brought a small smile to his face. Gently, Pablo shook Stell awake.

“Tey, wake up. I’ve got breakfast,” Pablo said softly.

Stell blinked his eyes open, disoriented at first, but a smile quickly spread across his face when he saw Pablo standing beside his bed.

“Good morning,” Pablo greeted with a warm smile.

“Oh, Pablo. Good morning! What are you doing here?” Stell asked, still groggy.

“I made you breakfast,” Pablo handed Stell the tray.

Stell looked at the food, touched by the gesture. “Oh, thank you, Pab,” he said, a grateful smile lighting up his face.

As Stell began eating, Pablo gathered his courage. "Hey, Stell, can we spend the day together? Just the two of us? It’s been a while since we hung out, just us."

“Sure,” Stell replied easily, not thinking twice. “I’d like that.”

“Okay! I’ll get ready. See you downstairs,” Pablo said, heart thudding in his chest as he left Stell’s room.

Pablo could barely contain the mix of anticipation and nerves bubbling inside him. He dressed carefully, putting on his best smile and preparing for the day ahead. He couldn’t wait to spend the day with Stell, but the thought of the confession looming at sunset kept his stomach tied in knots.

Once they were both ready, they hopped into Pablo’s car. He drove to a nearby café that was rumored to have the best strawberry ice cream in town. Stell’s favorite.

After they got their ice creams, they found a bench in a peaceful park and sat together, enjoying the cool treat. They fell into conversation, reminiscing about the first day they met and how their lives had intertwined since. As they talked, Pablo couldn’t help but notice how perfect the moment felt—how close they were, how natural their connection was.

But as the sun began to set, his heart grew heavier with the weight of his unspoken feelings.

He took Stell to a quiet park with a lake, a place where the fading sunlight reflected off the water, casting a beautiful, golden glow. There were only a few people there, making it feel like a world just for the two of them.

Pablo cleared his throat nervously, looking out at the water. "Tey, if I tell you something, will you promise that our friendship will never end?" Pablo began, his voice slightly shaking.

Stell turned to look at Pablo, concern furrowing his brow. “Yeah, Pab. Our friendship will never end,” he assured, though his tone held a hint of worry.

Pablo took a deep breath, finally turning to meet Stell’s eyes. "And if I tell you something else, will you promise to never avoid me?"

Stell looked into Pablo’s eyes, seeing something in them he couldn’t quite place—something deep and vulnerable. “Yes, Pablo. I’ll never avoid you,” Stell said, his voice soft, almost a whisper.

Pablo’s heart raced as he spoke the words that had been locked inside for so long. "What if I tell you that I like you, Stell?"

Stell blinked, the confession catching him completely off guard. “Huh? Pab? Are you sure?” Stell asked, his voice quiet, eyes wide with surprise.

“Yes, Stell,” Pablo said, his voice firmer now. “I’ve liked you ever since the day I met you at the park. Your smile always lights something inside me, and you’ve changed my life in so many ways. I love you.”

There it was. The truth, finally out in the open.

Stell looked at Pablo, a pained expression on his face. “Pablo… I’m so sorry, but I don’t feel the same way,” he said, his voice heavy with regret.

Pablo felt his heart shatter into a thousand pieces, but he forced a smile, even as his eyes began to tear up. "It’s okay, Stell. I can’t force your feelings."

Stell wiped away a tear that had slipped down Pablo’s cheek. "I’m really sorry, Pab," Stell said softly, his heart aching for his friend.

"Can I ask one last thing?" Pablo asked, his voice barely above a whisper. Stell nodded. "Can I hug you?"

Without hesitation, Stell wrapped his arms around Pablo. Pablo held him tightly, letting his tears fall freely now, his heart breaking as he realized that the love he had for Stell would never be returned in the way he wanted. He cried into Stell’s shoulder, feeling Stell’s hands gently rubbing his back, trying to offer comfort.

As the hug ended, Pablo wiped his face, trying to compose himself. But just as they were about to leave, they heard footsteps. Someone had seen them. They caught the sound of hurried steps, but they couldn’t see who it was.

Back at the house, they were greeted by Josh, Justin, and Ken, all sitting in the living room.

“Where have you two been?” Justin asked curiously.

“Oh, just went to the park,” Stell replied casually, though his gaze flickered briefly to Ken, who seemed upset—his eyes clouded with sadness and fear.

“What’s wrong?” Pablo asked, noticing Ken’s demeanor.

Josh interjected, his expression serious. “Are you both together?”

“What? No, we’re not together,” Stell quickly clarified, looking at his friends in confusion.

Josh and Justin exchanged a blank look, but before they could respond, Ken abruptly stormed off to his room, leaving everyone stunned.

They stood there for a moment, unsure of what to say, the weight of the day’s events hanging over them. Eventually, they all retreated to their rooms, the tension still palpable, the air thick with unspoken feelings.

As Stell lay in bed that night, he couldn’t shake the feeling that things had changed—and not just between him and Pablo, but between him and Ken, too. Something deeper was brewing, and he knew that soon, they would all have to confront the truths they had been hiding for so long.
