It had been a week since Ken’s death. The weight of grief clung to Stell and his friends like a suffocating blanket. Stell, in particular, was struggling the most. He had locked himself away, spending his days in his room, consumed by the sorrow of losing his boyfriend. The moments that had once brought him joy now only served as painful reminders of the love he had lost. Stell only left his room to eat and do the chores that needed to be done, but beyond that, he could hardly bring himself to face the world.

His phone, lying on the bed next to him, buzzed with life. The screen lit up with an incoming call from an unknown number. Stell stared at it blankly, his mind numb. He couldn’t bring himself to answer it. The phone rang and rang, the sound echoing in the quiet room before the call finally ended, leaving Stell in the same silence he had been drowning in.

Then, a message appeared on his screen.

"Stop grieving and laying all sad in your room."

Stell frowned as he read the message. Who could this be? Why were they telling him how to feel?

"What? Who is this?"

Stell asked himself out loud as he typed the question into his phone.

A few moments passed before another message appeared.

"Stand up from there and try to regain your strength."

Stell sat up on his bed, confused and a little irritated by the unsolicited advice. He typed back, his fingers shaky.

"Who are you?"

His tone was cold, reflecting the emotional numbness he had been feeling since Ken’s death.

The reply came swiftly.

"I’m someone. Stand up from there and try to move on."

For the first time in what felt like forever, Stell cracked a small smile. He couldn’t help but be reminded of the early days of his relationship with Ken when they were both secretly stalking each other, unknowingly crossing paths. This mysterious message, in some strange way, brought him a sense of familiarity, like Ken was somehow behind it all, giving him a push from beyond.

Stell gathered what little strength he had left and decided it was time to try. He couldn’t live like this forever, trapped in his grief. He wanted to honor Ken’s memory by living the way Ken would have wanted him to—strong and full of life. With a deep breath, Stell picked up his phone again, this time to send a message to his friends.

"Hey, meet me at the park tomorrow. I need to see you guys."

His friends were surprised by Stell’s sudden message, but they agreed without hesitation. They had been worried about him and wanted to be there for him in any way they could. The next day, as the sun began to sink toward the horizon, Stell met them at the nearby park, his heart pounding with nervousness and grief.

Pablo, Justin, and Josh arrived shortly after Stell, their expressions a mix of relief and concern. They all hugged Stell tightly, sensing the effort it had taken for him to step out of his house after such a devastating loss.

"I’m glad you had the courage to go out of your house" Pablo said, his arm around Stell’s shoulder as they walked through the park.

Stell smiled weakly. "I just had the courage" he replied, a small but genuine smile gracing his face for the first time in days.

They sat together on a bench, eating ice cream and watching the sun dip below the horizon. The warm colors of the sunset bathed them in a soft glow, a brief moment of peace amidst the storm of emotions they had been weathering. For the first time in what felt like an eternity, Stell felt a glimmer of something he thought he had lost forever—joy.

They laughed and reminisced about old times, about Ken, about the silly moments they had shared as friends. Stell could feel the weight on his chest lightening, if only a little. For a moment, it felt like Ken was there with them, laughing and enjoying the sunset just like they used to.

As they were getting ready to leave, Stell caught something—or rather, someone—out of the corner of his eye. His breath hitched, his heart skipping a beat. It was just for a second, but he could have sworn he saw Ken standing by the trees, watching him.

"Langga?" Stell whispered to himself, blinking rapidly to clear the tears that blurred his vision.

When he looked again, the figure was gone. His heart clenched in his chest, the sharp pain of longing stabbing through him. He missed Ken so much it physically hurt. The world felt cruel for teasing him with the possibility, for making him think—just for a second—that Ken might still be there.

Stell shook his head, trying to shake off the vision. It couldn’t have been Ken. But the sight of that figure, so familiar, had stirred something inside him.

As they left the park, Stell found himself clutching his phone, waiting for another message from that unknown number. It was as if whoever was behind the messages had given him the strength to step out, to start living again, even if just a little bit.

"Maybe... Ken is still looking out for me.." Stell thought to himself, a bittersweet smile tugging at his lips.

As the night sky settled over the city, Stell realized that whoever had messaged him had given him more than just words. They had given him hope—hope that he could move forward, even if it was painful, and that Ken would always be with him in spirit, guiding him through his darkest days.

"I saw you once again love.."
