"WOAH! Where you girls going?" Gordon, Jessie's best friend, stopped the teens when they tried to run for the back door while the partygoers formed a circle around them. "You're just in time for dinner."
"Sweet, what's on the menu?" Rory's smile was wide and he obviously didn't understand the implications.
He looked to his friends and Reggie confused, Benny face palmed and Fiona raised an eyebrow, "Us."
His eyes widened as he processed the information, opening his mouth to make an "Oh." sound.
Then, Jessie and Sarah walked in. Sarah's looked scared while her boyfriend's expression was almost the exact opposite.
"Don't they look delicious?"
"You can't. Not them!" Sarah pleaded with Jessie, "I know these kids. I'm babysitting them."
"Well, I'm sorry but—" He stopped to look at the humans. "Wait. You still need a babysitter?"
Ethan failed to say anything and Benny immediately clarified. "No, no. He, he needs a babysitter."
"Yeah, we're not the ones she's babysitting." Awkward laughs escaped my mouth.
"I barely met these guys 10 seconds ago."
"So, why exactly do you need a babysitter?" Gordon tilted his head as he questioned Ethan.
"No one here, needs a babysitter, okay?
Benny scoffed and looked to Ethan, "Just cause he's a vampire, does he have to be such a dorkwad? I mean, seriously."
He almost attacked Benny, had it not been for Jessie stopping him.
"Stop! Stop, stop." Fiona and Ethan held onto Benny and she fixed his sweater after he calmed down. "Initiations will follow tradition. Fledglings drink first."
Jessie pointed his gaze to Sarah, though it's safe to say she wouldn't ever bite a human. That was something she promised herself the moment she was bitten.
A vampire pushed Rory forward, closer to Sarah, and his friends and Reggie looked horrified for his safety.
Sarah fought her thoughts, "You hear his heart pumping? That's the beating of a whole new world waiting for you." Jessie spoke right into her ear. She looked to the floor, it took a lot to keep herself from pouncing onto him and draining him.
