Chapter 6: Training Exercise (Part 3)

Where we last left off, you and your new teammates had settled in a small but open space where you had created a campfire.

By now, you had fallen asleep, Tokoyami followed shortly after. A few hours had gone by, yet Akeno couldn't get a wink of sleep. Thus, she merely sat on a log, watching the fire and for any potential trouble.

With the hot fire still burning along with the cool breeze of the night, it was practically the perfect temperature for comfort.

As You and Tokoyami slept, Akeno merely pondered about the all of what was happening. Mere days ago she was at home, enjoying a nice cup of tea. Now she found herself working with people from entirely different dimensions.

Akeno: None of this feels right...I don't trust that Professor...and it's safe to assume not many of the others do either...but...we complied with him anyway...it feels like it's the right thing to do and I don't know why...

She then looked up, gazing at the shining moon. She didn't understand a single thing about this place. "What were Professor Nikadai's motives?" "Out of all of the dimensions, why them specifically?" "Were they truly safe?" All of these questions and more flooded her mind.

Despite all of the concern, she remained as calm as ever. However she was quickly snapped out of her deep thoughts when the sounds of crunching leaves could be constantly heard from afar.

Judging from how much time had gone by, Akeno had estimated that it was close to sunrise. Therefore it would make sense that some people are up early in these conditions.

All of a sudden a large spear came hurling towards her direction. Spreading a pair or large black wings from her back, she leaped and went airborne, avoiding the spear.

The sound of the spear breaking the log below her was enough to wake Tokoyami from his sleep. Slowly getting up as four figures began to approach the campfire.

The tired Tokoyami rubbed one of his eyes and looked up to see a winged Akeno with a stern look in her eyes.

Tokoyami: Akeno...? What's going on...?

Akeno didn't respond. Merely looking head to the four figures that were drawing near. Tokoyami picked himself up from the ground and prepared himself for a fight.

Meanwhile, you were still fast asleep. But Akeno and Tokoyami were too focused on identifying the threat to try and wake you.

However, a loud explosion went off in the distance, and the spiky haired boy who was arguing with Nora yesterday came flying out of the darkness.

Soon the others made themselves known. Two of Akeno's friends, and one of Tokoyami's classmates. The fourth was a student from Beacon.

Standing together, Rias Gremory, Katsuki Bakugo, Pyrrha Nikos, and Koneko Toujou all faced Tokoyami and Akeno.
