Tip No. 1; If you want to become a KPOP Idol I recommend you start training immediately. You can't just expect to just randomly arrive there one day and have an agency approve you without you ever having done anything! In KPOP agencies they give more importance to these talents; - Dancing - Singing - Rap Obviously when you join the agency they will help you perfect your technique, but if you want to go to a famous agency like YG Entertainment or JYP Entertainment or others like HYBE and CUBE you have to master one of these arts and you must know how to sing at least (if for example you are very good at rapping or dancing).
If you have never danced in your life then I recommend you do this;
- Start training for at least ten minutes every day by doing stretching and other postural exercises, it might be annoying, but it will help you strengthen your muscles and stamina. - Sign up for a dance class, eh, if you can't for various reasons, continue doing exercises every day with the addition of trying to dance to a KPOP song with a fairly simple choreography (I recommend Super Shy by New Jeans, FLOWER by Jisoo and Look At Me by TWICE as a start). - If you already have enough experience and your sport is dance (hiphop, modern, contemporary, classical dance, etc.) try dancing one choreography a day, perfecting each step until it suits you, this way you will increase your technique. For dance, I recommend training to dance choreographies at least three hours a day, to be stronger and more resistant.
For singing I recommend either taking private lessons with a professor* or sitting in front of the computer every day for at least an hour and singing songs you like, although it would be better to have a private teacher. You don't necessarily have to be very good, as long as you learn to be quite in tune and it would also be useful to be able to play very high notes.
For Rap it's more or less the same thing; Either you get a private teacher, or you start training on your own when you have some free time. There is no need to be hasty; when you read a rap lyric, before rapping it try to read every single word slowly for at least 10 times, this way you will remember the words and be able to rap the part. You don't need crazy speed, just be a little fast and have the right vibe (sort of). I recommend 45 minutes of training, since, before doing rap, you must know how to sing at least, I advise you to give more importance to singing if you are just starting out.
In all they are; - 3 hours of dance (exercises only 10 minutes)- 1 hour of singing- 45 min of rapSo 4 hours and 45 minutes, do you think that's a lot? You are wrong. If you think like this then it is really difficult for you to survive in the KPOP Trainee world, as idols train for 12 hours. Obviously you may want to rest, you certainly don't have to overdo it! Health is more important!! With that being said, this is my first tip for becoming a KPOP Idol! On to the next chapter! From Yuki
