I'll always be an audience member
Of the play I've always wanted to audition for.
I'll always be watching, telling myself to wait another year
Until they run out,
And the grass is no longer green,
And the sets have rusted,
And my hair is much too grey.
"Tomorrow", we all say,
Not knowing that there is no tomorrow.
