The drive back to the warehouse was a blur of anger and frustration. Viktor had played us, taunted us with his twisted games, and now the stakes were higher than ever. My grip on the steering wheel tightened as I replayed Dimitri's smug expression in my mind, his laughter echoing in my ears. This wasn't just about protecting Brianna, Zara, and Stella anymore. This was about ending Viktor once and for all.

When we arrived at the warehouse, the men filed out of the SUVs, their expressions as grim as mine. Dante was the first to approach me, his face a mask of barely controlled fury. "Valentino, what the hell just happened back there? We've been tracking Nikolai for weeks, and we end up with his twin brother? How did we not see this coming?"

I took a deep breath, trying to keep my emotions in check. "Viktor played us. He knew we were watching Nikolai and used Dimitri to throw us off. He wanted us to waste our time and resources while he made his next move."

"And now Stella's in more danger than ever," Marcello added, his voice tight with anger. "That bastard is threatening her, and we walked right into his trap."

I turned to face Marcello, my eyes locking onto his. "You need to double down on protecting Stella. We can't afford any mistakes. Viktor's not just targeting Brianna and Zara—he's going after anyone I care about. That includes you and your brother."

Marcello nodded, his jaw clenched. "I won't let anything happen to her, Valentino. Nikolai won't get anywhere near her, I promise you that."

"I know," I said, placing a hand on his shoulder. "But we need to be smart about this. Viktor's playing a game, and we can't let our emotions cloud our judgment. We need to find out where he's hiding and take him down before he has a chance to strike again."

Dante stepped forward, his voice calm but with an edge of urgency. "We need more intel. Hugo's still working on digging up anything related to Brianna's parents' deaths. There's a chance Viktor was involved, but we won't know for sure until Hugo finds something concrete."

I nodded, my mind already racing with plans. "Get in touch with Hugo. I want updates on his progress every hour. We can't afford to overlook anything, no matter how small it seems."

"Already on it," Dante replied, pulling out his phone to make the call.

As Dante walked away, I turned back to Marcello. "You and Stella need to stay close for now. I don't want either of you out of sight. We'll regroup at the safe house later tonight and plan our next move."

Marcello's eyes narrowed in determination. "We'll be there. And Valentino... when we find Viktor, I want to be there when we take him down."

"You will be," I assured him. "This ends with Viktor, one way or another."

Marcello gave a sharp nod and headed inside the warehouse, likely to check in on Stella. The thought of her being in danger churned in my gut, but I had to trust Marcello to keep her safe. Right now, I needed to focus on finding Viktor before he made good on his threats.
