diya is a nickname, my real name won't be shared on wp because i was warned against it. i'm indian, but my parents immigrated to the states before i was born, so technically, i'm american! i love reading, writing, studying, and singing! they're my main hobbies. my favorite things in the world are my family, life, film, and music.
my favorite tv shows right now are kimi ni todoke and gilmore girls, but i grew up on shows like miraculous (i still watch it T^T) and sofia the first. i love lots of movies and musical artists, but i find 2000s movies to be my favorite time period of movies, especially in bollywood (hindi movies). my favorite english movies are mamma mia, the devil wears prada, and 10 things i hate about you. my favorite hindi movies are jab we met, kal ho naa ho, and 3 idiots!
i listen to a lot of kpop (enhypen is my ult), more alternative (w2e), and my favorite english artists are beabadoobee, laufey, mitski, lana del rey, and olivia rodrigo. i really like slower ballads, but also fast paced music as well, as long as its not too loud. i've been singing since i was 4, and trained to be a broadway singer. i still really enjoy singing, and in a way, its one of my love languages <3.
i love reading classics, like anna karenina, but find novels like 'before the coffee gets cold' to be incredible reading experiences. i really enjoy books that make me ponder life and romanticize it.
