Canterlot High

Day 1 (Part 1: An Intro)

Glimmer sighed as she followed next to Jewel. Today was the first day of Freshman year at Canterlot High.

Jewel's wavy, light blue locks shone upon her shoulders, and her beautiful makeup perfectly done, making her deep blue eyes stand out. Jewel tried to curl Glimmer's bright purple hair, but it just couldn't stop falling straight. She wouldn't even let her wear the glasses she needed, she made her get used to contacts, which bothered her golden eyes. Today, Jewel wasn't in the best mood.

"Glimmer, were you even listening to me?" Jewel's fancy accent shot fiercely at Glimmer.

Glimmer shook her head. "Yeah! Yeah, I was listening."

"What did I say."

"Uh- Um-"

"I said, I hope Blitz won't show up late, and I need you to find Fern; she's always places the group isn't. We need to get everyone together." she said, in a shorter version of the paragraph she'd said before.

Glimmer nodded. "Got it."

While they walked to the front, a sudden burst of excitement shocked them both from behind; the comedy duo: Mikey and Mandy. They were laughing hysterically.

"That is not funny!" Jewel glared at them, red-faced.

Mandy snorted, her and her brother's joyful, giant pink hair matching their giggly personality. "Duh it was!"

"Why wouldn't it," Mikey snorted, too, "you guys are as easy as scaring Fern!" Both their light blue eyes filled with tears.

"You both are embarrassing yourselves..." Jewel continued to rant. Glimmer suffered in holding back her laughter, but couldn't hold it in much longer.

The blue headed teen looked to Glimmer. "No, stop! You were scared yourself, it can't be funny!"

"B-But-" Glimmer stammered from her giggles, but Jewel interrupted.

"No, this is not funny at all, Glimmer!" The three stopped at the terrifying anger of Jewel's voice.

"Bad day?" Mandy tilted her head.

"Let's just say I wasn't woken up very swell." 

"Got it."

All four walked together, Mandy and Mikey saying random words, Jewel and Glimmer talking their usual chats. A brunette, freckled country boy walked up beside them.

"Howdy."

"Hey, Adam!" the twins exclaimed. The other two just smiled, waved, said 'hi', and went back to chatting.

"Thank y'all for the warm welcome." he chuckled at Jewel and Glimmer.

Mandy hopped on Adam's back and whispered into his ear, "Don't worry about Jewel, she's in a bad mood. Also, Glimmer's like, saying like, top secret stuffs and it's REALLY important to her so DO NOT interrupt them or SHIT's gonna get REAL." She grinned and fell backwards, being picked up by Mikey.

"Thank ye' kindly for the warnin', Mandy."

"No problem-o!"

They all met up at the cafeteria tables, all about ten minutes before class. Blitz was late, or else they would have fifteen. Fern sat quietly, redoing her small, light green ponytail. Her teal eyes gleamed with excitement. "So how is everyone?" she smiled, looking mostly to Adam. She has had a crush on him since middle school, and it still has not changed; she mostly loved his green eyes.

Everyone had positive replies. Except for Jewel.

"O. M. G. My morning as terrible! My hair and makeup look terrible today, my mother woke me up late, and now I have a wardrobe malfunction!" she was wearing a very stylish outfit, nothing on her was out of place.

"Oh, no! Is that a piece of lint on your shirt?!" Blitz gasped sarcastically. Blitz had spikey blue hair and pinkish eyes, but he was more daring than he looked.

"Where?!" she searched her whole outfit until she realized what he meant. "Oh, haha, Blitz. Very funny." she glared.

The twins stared at her. "That's funnier than scaring you?!" they argued, "Come on!"

The whole table laughed. They've been together forever, I supposed.

So, to explain:

Jewel was the fashion-diva type, Glimmer the nerdy type, the twins the class clown-humorous type, Fern the shy type, and both Adam and Blitz the athletic type.

A/N: I know this was short, but, trust me, it'll get WAY better. I chose to write something I've wanted to write since joining Wattpad, and I thought about it. I didn't want any hate about being a fan of MLP, but I don't care anymore. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I do. Thank you!
