Darkblade and Starlight were now playing together in a team, their chemistry and banter evident to all. As they played, they continued to flirt and joke around, their connection growing stronger with each passing minute.

"I've got your back, Starlight!" Darkblade exclaimed, as he covered her from enemy fire.

"Thanks, Darkblade! You're a true gentleman!" Starlight replied, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Except when you're no-scoping me, that is!"

Darkblade chuckled and shot back, "Hey, that's just part of my charm! You can't resist a bad boy, can you?"

Starlight playfully rolled her eyes. "Oh please, I can resist you just fine. But I have to admit, your skills are pretty impressive."

Darkblade grinned, feeling a sense of pride. "Thanks, I've been practicing. But I think my real skill is making you blush."

Starlight's face turned bright red, and she quickly looked away, trying to hide her smile. "Shut up, Darkblade!"

As they continued to play, their teammates started to notice the chemistry between them. "Dude, are you two a thing?" one of them asked.

Darkblade and Starlight exchanged a look, and for a moment, they just smiled at each other. "Maybe," Darkblade said, his voice low and flirtatious. "We're just taking it one game at a time."

Starlight playfully rolled her eyes. "Sure, sure, Darkblade. Just remember, I've got the law on my side... and a few tricks up my sleeve!"

Darkblade chuckled and replied, "Oh, I'm shaking in my boots! But don't worry, I'll just use my engineering skills to build a defense against your legal attacks!"

Their banter continued back and forth, with neither one willing to give in. But beneath the surface, they both knew their playful jabs were a cover for their growing attraction.

As the night wore on, they started to talk about their lives outside of gaming. Darkblade shared stories about his latest engineering projects, while Starlight talked about her most challenging legal cases.

"I've always loved solving puzzles," Darkblade said, his eyes lighting up with excitement. "There's something about figuring out a complex problem that really gets me going!"

Starlight smiled, impressed by his passion. "I can see why you're so good at it," she said. "You have a mind for detail."

Darkblade was captivated by her legal expertise. "I can see why you're so good at law," he said. "You have a way of arguing your points that's really convincing!"

Starlight laughed, feeling a flutter in her chest. "Thanks, Darkblade. I think we make a pretty good team... both in game and out!"

Their conversation flowed effortlessly, like they had known each other for years. As the night drew to a close, Darkblade realized he didn't want it to end.

"Hey, Starlight?" he said, his voice a little softer.

"Yeah?" she replied, her tone equally gentle.

"Would you like to... maybe talk outside of the game sometime?" Darkblade asked, his heart racing.

There was a pause, and for a moment, Darkblade worried he had overstepped. But then, Starlight's response came, like a ray of sunshine.

"I'd like that very much," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Darkblade's heart skipped a beat. "Really?" he asked, trying to contain his excitement.

"Really," Starlight replied, her tone filled with promise.

And with that, they exchanged numbers, their online connection evolving into something more. As they said their goodbyes, Darkblade couldn't help but wonder what the future held for them.
