"... And so that's what happened for my first week."

There I was, sitting down in the comfort of my home, conversing with my mother through a video call. I told her about the events that happened the past week and how I met Tzuyu and some of her friends.

"That's sounds great, honey." She smiled through the phone, despite being bedridden.

"It was, yeah... Who knew that your son would befriend an international superstar, huh..." I replied with a small smile.

"Oh, and not so long ago we also met some of her friends as well... And, it's quite... Interesting to say the least..."

"Let me guess... One of them dubbed you as her girlfriend..." She then looked at me with a smug expression.

"N-No...? W-Why would you think that, Ma?" I suddenly got flustered all of a sudden.

How on earth did she predict it so scarily?! Besides, it's not like she knows about-

"Don't lie to me, Y/N L/N. I know everything about it. This Sana Minatozaki girl..."

"Hah?! She's not my girlfriend!" I freaked out. "It's just a misunderstanding... W-Where did you get that information?!"

She couldn't possibly know what happened. That could only mean-

"Frank told me." She bluntly replied. "He told me everything before you could even call, haha!"

...

"Ugh, Frank... I swear to God..." I facepalmed. Of course, it had to be him. Who else could be close to Mom other than myself?

"Why don't you date that Tzuyu girl?" She asked, immediately followed by a coy smile. "She seems nice from everything you've told me-"

"Absolutely not," I replied almost instantly. "Besides... She's a friend... A partner I have in class."

"Well, whatever you say Y/N... But it looks to me like you've had quite much fun this first week, huh?"

After hearing those words, it felt different from the usual adventures I've had at the university. I didn't feel so looking forward to something because I knew the result and how it was going to be for me...

But now Tzuyu is here... Everything I've done this first week has been quite eventful. It all became activities and journeys that I looked forward to doing.

And I guess... That's a good start...?

"Yeah... I guess we did... Frank did. Mostly. Well, he got to meet his bias after all." I replied with a small smile.

"How about you, Y/N...?" She asked. "How was your week, personally?"

"Honestly, it had been pretty mundane on my part... But I'm doing great." I replied. "We had some fun... A ton of fun... And seeing Frank happy was good for me."

"That's great to hear..." She smiled. "It's all I ever want..."

Her expression shifted from that coy smile, into a rather longing and loving expression. Her caring nature radiates from even beyond the boundaries of the screen of my cellphone.

"Look at you now, all grown up... I'm confident that someday when I'm not around... You can finally move on with life..." She said.

"I'm always proud of you, son..." She smiled.

She may not know everything that I've been going through, but those words rather hit me harder than I thought they would. Everything about Mom gave me comfort and relief, giving me a sense of confidence in myself as well...
