The first thing I saw after I opened my eyes was white, only white. I heard beeping and I felt someone holding my hand.
I try to move my head a little. And the person next to me stands up startled.
After a while my eyes get used to the light and I see that I'm in a hospital room. And the person who was holding my hand was mom. Dad was standing by the window looking down. I turn to Mom who was looking at me.
" mom.." I try to say but it sounds very weak. She jumps up and takes the water from beside me and holds it to my mouth so I can drink a little.
Dad turns around from where he was standing
" hey honey, anything hurting?" Dad asks as he comes to stand beside on my right mom was on my left.
I look at him confused. Then I looked down at my body. I was still wearing my pyjama from last night. My leg was in a pink cast. I like pink and there are a few wires coming from My arms.
" honey?" Dad asks again.
I look at him.
" you Okey?" He says.
Right after he said that the door Burst open and theo walks in with a tray of food.
" hey, they had croissants. So I grabbed a few of those for her and they had like a chocolate cookies so I grabbed-" he says focusing on the tray but when he looks up he stops.
He blinks like he's trying to see that this was real. He then puts the tray and the table in the room and runs to me.
As soon as he reaches me he throws his arms around me in a tight hug. I smile and hug him back
" I was really scared Marceline" he whispers in my ear.
" I'm sorry I didn't mean for it to happen" I whisper back still hugging him.
He let's go and holds my arms so that I'm looking directly in his eyes.
" don't apologize for stuff you have no control over. The most important thing right now is that you're Okey" he says determined. And then he kisses my forehead. And moves so that my mom can sit there.
She puts her hand on my cheek and I lean into it
" aw honey, why didn't you say anything. We would've stayed home. " mom says sadly.
" I'm sorry, mom" I say tearing up.
" don't cry honey, it's Okey your Okey" she says hugging me.
Then the door opens again. And a docter walks in.
" so I see that your awake miss cooper. I'm Dr. Ramsey. How are you feeling?" Dr.ramsey asks as he moves to check every wire and the monitors.
