Andrea layed on her bed, music blaring in her ears as always. It's the only way she knows how to get her mind off of the terrible night she's been having. Her piece of shit father spent the whole entire evening drinking, casually being an asshole about the most irrelevant things known to mankind. Only this time, Lucas decided to bring up somebody else for the first time in quite awhile, and of course it wasn't going to settle well with Andrea.
Wayne. He called the teenage boy she's known practically her whole life a fucking useless scumbag. Also adding that he's never going to get anywhere in this life, and that he'll probably end up dead on the side of the road somewhere. Lucas saying those vile things about Wayne made him and Andrea get into this huge screaming match. Her mother just sat back whilst all of it was going down. She didn't even bother trying to split Lucas and Andrea up when he attacked her, going so far as breaking a beer bottle across the side of her head. Andrea didn't care how badly she got hurt, but there's no way in hell she was going to let Lucas talk about her Wayne that way. He's been there a countless number of times, way more than her supposed father ever had.
Once Lucas drank enough to pass out onto the floor of their living room, that was Andrea's chance to get away finally. She'd sprinted into her bedroom, locked the door, and hasn't left since. Lucas said that Wayne was the one who destroyed Andrea, but it's in fact quite the opposite. Wayne had saved her. If she didn't have someone like him in her life, Andrea dreaded to imagine how everything would've turned out.
Her head throbbed immensely from the beer bottle to the point where it was overbearing. She'd even tried to pop a few headache pills, but much to her dismay, those didn't help ease it in the slightest bit. She got up begrudgingly from her bed to gaze into the mirror she had next to her dresser. Andrea was met with those same, dead eyes she's always met with. Her own reflection stared back at her with nothing but pure anger. Her eyebags stuck out prominently, and her brown eyes appeared as if they no longer had any access to the sun. The side of Andrea's face had dried blood on it with a decently sized gash. It definitely needed stitches; stitches she would never get. In addition, her jaw, neck, and face were all bruised from the multiple blows thrown at her. There's no way Andrea would be able to go to school tomorrow like this, or else child protective services would surely be called. Lucas would have a field day about that one. Andrea grabbed one of her half-filled water bottles and attempted to scrub the blood off of her face. There was nothing she could do about the cuts or bruises though. They'd just have to heal on their own, she supposed.
