The middle of summer

The mage elves were bustling about and setting up tree canopies to block the sunlight and the kid elves were sitting under the tree canopies and hammocks and, were using their magic to cool themselves and others off and the fire elves were helping to keep the scorching heat from away from the forest. A single child elf however was seen running about not sweating or beginning extremely hot. She was only noticed by the children and the adults didn't seem to notice her. She turned and smiled at them then left without moving. She was a death elf. She was scouting the villages to see which children would be best to join the death elves in helping with them to come back. The smallest child was about five foot four and she was about twelve. She was an unexpected soul. That night they returned home and the small girl's name is Amiri and she looked at her mother and father, "Mama and papa today a strange girl looked at me and my friends she smiled then disappeared and non of the adults why is that.", for a child thats twelve she was smarter than most adults. Her parents looked at each other then her mother spoke up first," Amiri please tell me you didn't you didn't smile and make eye contact with her,", Amiri stood there then she looked away she was an honest child so she said, "I did why is that so bad.", Amiri said with sass she knew her parents were dramatic. Her parents then dropped what they were doing and their faces contorted into fear and shock then her father spoke up first, "Amiri you need to go and run away as fast as you can that girl you encountered is of death eleven kin, on your eighteenth birthday she'll come back and take you away with her.".

Flashback ends

Amiri sits up panting. She's now seventeen. Her eighteenth birthday is in four weeks. She goes about her regular routine and changes and goes to school. She was always the first one in class and she sits in the back with her two friends Brianna and Justin. They were there a few minutes after her. They sat by her Justin, "Amiri you okay girl you look like you just seen a death elf girly, are you having that flashback now since your eighteenth birthday is in four weeks I personally believe your parents are still over dramatic about the thing if you ask me and plus death elves haven't been seen since four hundred years so what makes your parents so sure it was an elf of the death elf kin.", Justin was always reassuring her it was fake and so was Brianna, "Yeah he's right mriri don't listen to your parents when have they ever been smart, never so why should you believe them the last time they said something bad would happen they were dead wrong so why believe them now." They stopped talking as the class filled in after the school day. She was so reassured she went to Brianna's house and stayed for two weeks then she spent the last two weeks with justin. After those four weeks she went home on her eighteenth birthday and wen to sleep that night little did she know her house was broken into her parents were unharmed as they were asleep two people entered her room one was the girl that she smiled and made eye contact with and the other was the second in command they drugged her to make sure she's asleep and they took her away from her home family and friends she woke up in a cell shackled.

Authors note the characters are:Jessica Mile: Amiris mother she's fifty and she is the daughter of a famous actor who died before she was born. Her maiden name is Mariana but changed when she got married she absolutely adores her family.

John Mile: Amiris father he's fifty-two and he loves his family he came from an abusive household.
Amiri Mariana: Her mother gave up her maiden name for her and she was only twelve when cursed by a death elf. She loves her parents but thinks they're crazy. She's eighteen.

Brianna Hankins: She's Justin's and Amiris best friend. She adores them but she has a crush on justin..

Justin hambridge: He is Brianna's best friend and Amiris he has a crush on Brianna.

Kerala Khane: The death elf that had fallen in love with Amiri so she cursed her so she can have her to herself. She's the leader of the death elves and has a crush on Amiri.
Licon William: He's under Kenala's command because he's a lower status and he's weaker than her.
