He had been down there for around five minutes. There was no way he could have been alive…but then they heard the clashing of moving rocks again. “No way he’s actually still alive after that.”

Bete was right. He shouldn’t have been able to survive that…of course, the rubble moving to reveal Percy standing there with a tattered shirt looking more annoyed than anything just had to prove them wrong.

“Can we get moving? I need a new shirt and a bath or something, and my baby sister is going to kill me if I’m not back soon” Everyone just stared at him dumbfounded until he walked past them.

“You should be taking this more seriously. You almost died, we were about to head back, and then your little sister would have had to attend a funeral.”

“Listen, Lefiya, right?” He continued at her nod. “I appreciate your concern, for myself and my baby sister. But it’ll take more than some falling rubble to kill me at this point, besides…it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve crashed my own funeral.”

She watched him walk off, stunned by the odd admission, before hurrying to catch up at Bete’s demanding.

Timeskip: 1st Person pov, Percy

I had been running errands for a few days since the incident, nothing difficult. Probably because it was meant as a punishment and recuperation…I didn’t know exactly how that was supposed to work, but I figured annoying Ryuu by pointing it out wasn’t the best idea.

It had, however, allowed me to search for a way back into the Labyrinth far more frequently, however, which was good. Sadly I’ve had no such luck, someone else had undoubtedly started searching by now, and as much as I would love to see them…I wouldn’t want them to be separated from the others like we are.

It was my last errand of the day before I went into the dungeon, I just needed to get these crates back to the Hostess, and I'd be on my way. The trek back was hardly eventful, just some kids playing and people rushing to and fro. But now I was finally on my way, forgoing the magic armor and even my wristwatch shield.

Because as much as I appreciated them, and found them cool, they just weren’t for me, the armor was too flashy, and the shield wasn’t the best for my style of fighting, so I was just wearing some cheap clothes Ryuu had gotten me the first day of work.

Nothing fancy, just some black pants, a white cotton shirt, and some brown boots, I decided some protection couldn’t hurt and grabbed the Nemean lion pelt my father had gifted back to me, apparently with how Divinity was well known in this world meant that it appeared as an actual pelt rather than a coat due to the Mist.

3rd person omniscient.

It didn’t take long after entering the dungeon for monsters to start swarming him, nor did it take long for them to be dispatched. They were more an annoyance to him, if even that. But they were a decent source of income outside of working at the Hostess of Fertility, which reminded him of the fact he should probably find a way to properly thank Mama Mia.

He suddenly heard someone running by, turning around allowed him to realize it was Aiz. She looked to be in a hurry, but he figured she could handle whatever it was that had her attention. Until some of her Familia members ran by in the same direction not too long after.

‘Bete and Tione, or maybe it was Tiona?’ He thought, he shook his head of the thoughts, and figuring help may be needed, he decided to follow after them.
