WHEN LOVE LAST

Tring!!Tring!!Tring!!
Aaahhhh!!! This alarm. It's 5 in the morning. I turned off the alarm. I'll wake up in half hour at 5:30 am.

Morning 7:10 am
"Arey uth ja kumbhkaran!! Phir yahanse waha ghumenge aur phir mantra japege mein late ho gai mein late ho gai" I heard Vedanti saying while shaking me.
(Come on girl wake up, otherwise you'll roam around the room and chant I'm late like a mantra)

"Shanaya It's 7:45 am!!!!!!!"

I jolted up from my sleep and checked time in alarm clock. Phew!! It's only 7:10 am. I glared at Veda who was glaring back at me.

"Why did you lie? You know I thought I will miss my class" I said while seething in anger.

"Oh really? You would have cursed me for not waking you up on time. Instead of being thankful, here you are talking to me like that" she said while pouting her lips and making a crying face.

I really misbehaved with her. "Sorry Veda"

She just twisted her lips.

"Ok fine my netflix account will be yours for next one week. Is that ok?" I saw her grinning at me. "Thank you so much Shanaya. You are really my bestfriend". I just smiled at her and moved toward washroom along with my clothes to get my morning business done since I need to go to college to attend our classes.

It's 7:55 am and we both, I and Veda are sitting in the class while anxiously waiting for our bestfriend Raj. I and Raj are same, we both just love sleeping. Once our protfessor will enter the class he won't allow Raj to come in.

"Did you call Raj? It seems like he gonna miss the lecture today." I asked Veda who was looking towards the gate patiently.

"Ha kiya tha call maine usse, kyuki mein toh tum dono ki dost nahi Mata hu n. Haina?"she seethed.
(Yes I did call him, anyway I'm your mom to look after you both. Isn't it correct?)
It's really difficult for both of us to handle morning Veda due to her anger. Well the reason for anger is also us two. No worries It's our regular routine.

Just then our professor walked towards the entrance of our to do something I don't know. Maybe texting his girlfriend? But he is seems in his late 30s how can he have girlfriend at this age? Shoot it.

"Oh no! Raj missed it today" veda said while looking towards her mobile ready to message Raj about current situation.

"No no we can't let this happen! You have his mobile number just call him and cut it till then I'll call Raj" I said to Veda while making call to Raj. Just then I saw Raj entering the class while whistling. He waved at us and sat behind us.

"You idiot! How can you be so cool when you just entered class, just a second before sir would??" Veda asked him.

Kharach Raj! Etka late Kasa zala tu?" I asked him in Marathi since we both are from Mumbai.
(Really Raj! How come you are so late today?)

"Ha, kharas kharas bolo tum!" Veda said. She has learned a little Marathi from both of us and tries to speak in Marathi. Though not perfectly but she is good.

"Kharach, kharas nhi Vedanti devi" Raj said while making faces.

"Oh darlings! Nothing to be worried when Raj Bhosale is here" he said while being all cozy at his seat. He is always in this flirty mood. I don't know how come girls are all mad behind him? Maybe his flirting skills.

Before we could say anything our professor entered the class.

After lecture got finished,we three decided to go to our college canteen and eat something since we three didn't had anything for our breakfast. After entering canteen we three took seat and placed our order for coffee and Parathas.

"You know what guys, yesterday I talked to a boy on Snapchat. We both talked initially about our whereabouts and then he asked for my pic and I just declined it saying I'm not comfortable." Veda said while eating a bite from her paratha.

"Acquaintance toh ho agye thi n aur kitna comfortable hona tha tumhe ek pic bhejne ke liye?" Raj asked her while sipping on his coffee.
(How much more you need to get comfortable I you both know about each other)

"Oh just shutup Raj! Anyways when I said no to him he started buttering me up like pls send your pic I want to praise your beauty and blah blah. When I didn't agree upn him he started doubting me whether I'm really a girl or not!! He started spamming saying that I'm a boy who is targeting boys using a girl name" Veda said while laughing.

We all three bursted in laughter listening to her.

"Oh my god ,poor him" I said while controlling my laughter.

"Well there's nothing wrong in this because Veda is just a boy in a girl's body, isn't it correct Veda?" Raj said while laughing making me laugh more loudly.

"You know what Raj get lost!" Veda said. Our laughter was echoing in whole canteen making people stare at us weirdly. Somehow after controlling our laughter we just silently ate our food,deciding not to ruin our image.

Just then some students from internship entered the class. They were around 5-6 girls and 2-3 boys talking about some pg seniors who just joined the college today.

"You know what that blue eye senior is so hot. Trust me I can trace his six packs from outside." A girl said referring to a male senior.

"His wife would be lucky to have a hot husband." A girl said drolling over that Male pg.

"Come on girls, he will first have a girlfriend and then a wife." One of the boy said.

" You know what I'll definitely try to hit on him. Who knows maybe he is your jiju guys!!" The first girl said who told about his blue eyes.

"Seems like your popularity gonna go down Raj. You have a competition now." Veda said while smirking at Raj.

"No way that's gonna happen! And in case it happens then nothing to worry I will marry you miss. Vedanti Awasthi. I have everything planned. We will have a majestic destination wedding in ladakh and have two kids a daughter and a son and will live happily ever after. Now tell me how is my plan?" I bursted in laughter and Veda was looking at him with open mouth who was proudly smirking.

"No way I'm gonna marry you! Mera naseeb itna bhi kharab nhi hai ki mein tumse shaadi karogi. Agar tumse shaadi kar li aur hamare bachhe tum oar gaye toh mein toh pagal ho jaugi" Veda was blabbering her own thoughts when Raj bursted into laughter along with me. Than and there Veda understood he was joking. She too started laughing.

"You guys are too much" I said while controlling my laughter.

"To give it a thought what if that blue eyes guy impressed anyone of you both and gets married to that girl. That girl can either be you Shanaya or you Vedanti." Raj said looking first at me and then Veda.

We both girls looked at each other and then laughed out.

"Bhai mein single hi khush hu, ye relationship aur pyar ke chakkar mein nhi padna mijhe. Papa jo ladka dhundenge usse shaadi kar lungi mein" Veda said while moving her hands in air as a sign of surrendering.

They both together looked at me and signaled with their eyebrows what is going in my mind. "Guys papa hates this idea of love marriage, and my mummy will kill me with her taunts if I do something like this so a big no to this. Waise hi kam favourite hu mein unki aur aisa kuch karungi toh ghar se bahar phek denge mujhe" I said imaging the scenario in my mind. No no nothing like this should happen.
(Anyway I'm less favoured by my parents, if anything like this will happen they will expel me from house).

"Leave it guys, we have a lecture now let's go" Raj said knowing how my parents are towards me.

We left from there for class.
