The dining room, with its ornate chandeliers and long, polished table, was ready.
Agnihotri and Pratap family both were sitting around the table, their expressions a mix of curiosity and anticipation.
The aroma of freshly cooked food wafted in from the kitchen, filling the room with a comforting warmth.
Ania emerged from the kitchen, carrying the dishes one by one. She first placed a large bowl of creamy kheer on the table, its saffron-infused aroma mingling with the sweet scent of cardamom.
Next came the gulab jamun, glistening with syrup, followed by the vibrant matar paneer, with peas and paneer cubes swimming in a rich, spiced gravy.
She continued, setting down a bowl of dal makhni, the slow-cooked lentils rich and velvety, and moong dal halwa, its golden hue promising a burst of sweetness.
Finally, she laid out a stack of lachhedar parathas, their layers perfectly flaky and buttery.
