Star-crossed (Tokyo Ghoul x Ansatsu Kyoushitsu fanfic)

C2: "Why?"

It was a few days after that meeting of Class 3-E. I went in class like usual, listened to lessons like usual, writing down stuff like usual.

During lunch, I went to get my usual iced mocha. There's two reasons why I drink mocha, never mind that ; I was just returning to my class since I didn't had anything to do, there's this violet-eyed person who happened to stop in front of me.

"Ah, you must be Senya Yuki right? The new transfer student in our class?"

Hm, who was he again? But I nodded anyways.

He gave a small chuckle and smiled, "You look like you're wondering who am I, I'm Asano Gakushuu."

Asano Gakushuu..Asano...I remembered hearing this name somewhere, however it can't seemed to spark my mind.

"Nice to meet you, Senya-san," he held his hand out.

I shook his hand, "Likewise."

"Hope you will study hard and don't end up like those Class 3-E failures."

What?

So behind that benevolent smile is just the same attitude as the other people in this school.

"Hah! See those pathetic failures?
Ew I don't wanna become like them!
Lazy punks!
Do they even care about life?
Trash!"

The echoes of the students' voices rang in my head, these was what I heard everyday. What's so bad about them? What's so good to talk about them? Humans are just... But why? Why am I thinking so much about Class 3-E? These much thoughts haven't occurred to me before. Just why am I thinking so much about them?

I didn't knew why, I was filled with anger, filled with thoughts like 'Humans should treat humans equally'. With a sharp voice and fiery eyes I replied, "It's you who's a failure."

With that, I walked away, anger filling me up. I went to class to get my bag and ditched class. I don't care if I miss those pathetic lessons. Studying studying studying... is that thought on everyone's mind?

As I walked towards the direction of the entrance of the school to get out, I saw the mountain of where Class 3-E lies. Then a thought came to me: Go there. As if someone was controlling me, I started to walked there.

From the exterior it looked like a mountain nobody wanted to go, but actually it was pretty airy and comfortable from that 'humid & stressful' place. From fresh green and colourful flowers to running animals and shaded sunlight, I felt so alive.

After some time I finally came to the top of the mountain, although it was a long walk, I enjoyed it. I silently peeked at the windows of the wooden classroom at the place I stopped. Since I have special sight, might as well just see what they're doing from here. I looked through the windows, and widening my eyes I saw an inhumanly being.

That....is cosplay right? Then I heard sounds of gunshots as well as the students shooting that yellow octopus-like being.

At that time, I didn't understood anything.

"Sensei! We can never kill you! You're too fast!"

Kill?

I stood there, still peering at them. They probably wouldn't notice I'm here since they so busy 'killing' that being. Until the red-haired I saw the other day turned his direction towards me. Damn. I saw his mouth moving and then everyone stopped their movements and turned to look at me.

I decided to get off the mountain. Just as I turned away, that inhuman being appeared in front of me faster than a flash of lightning. "Why hello there!" he spoke with his yellow tentacles making a squishy sound.

I nonchalantly stared at him, and just passed him by. I mean, how do you react to a talking yellow octopus who moves so damn fast? But well, meeting a ghoul isn't unusual.. So after I 'ignored' it, I skipped down the mountain only to lose my balance and start a fall from a small cliff.

Although it was a small cliff, I braced myself for a fall, after all.. if they see it, then they will know. So while expecting pain afflicting my body, I met a soft painless fall.

Hm? Why isn't pain covering me? As I got up halfway, I realize that I was on top of a person.. and it wasn't a stranger, it's that red haired!

"Ouch. That kinda hurt," the red haired rubbed his head, "But oh well~ At least you were kinda light."

Instantly I moved away from him in shocked, resulting in banging my head from the tree just right behind us. "Ouch!" I rubbed my head.

"Ooh Karma being the nice hero huh?" I heard someone whistling, "Isn't that unusual of you?"

"Aha shut up Nagisa-kun, I'm always nice you know~" he smirked.

The person called 'Nagisa' jumped down swiftly, he came to me and held out his hand and asked, "Are you alright Senya-san?"

"I'm alright thanks," I said while getting up without the need of his hand. I swept some of the dirt that my uniform caught and thanked them again, "Thank you Karma-san and Nagisa-san," with those words I went down the mountain and slowly vanished from their sight.

The next day I was called to the principal's office, as I had my way to his office, one of the teachers who was passing by spoke to me, "Senya Yuki, it seems you're in big trouble. I thought you could do better." What's wrong with him? Getting all cranky and crap.

I entered the principal's office and saw Asano Gakushuu there as well. It's gonna be troublesome. The principal and Asano looked alike, but I wasn't really bothered about it.

"Hello Senya Yuki. To be straightforward, Gakushuu told me that you 'provoked' him," the principal began. So what does the student council president has to do with the principal? And calling him without honourifics? The principal continued, "As well as you visiting Class 3-E and seeing everything, as a scholarship student, I expected a good activity from you, and since you have outstanding grades as seen from your entrance exam, instead of expelling you..." I know where this is coming. "You will be studying in Class 3-E from tomorrow onwards. That's all."

"I see. Thank you for me, I shall have my leave now," I bowed and left the unreadable principal and smirking Asano.

It was only my first few days at Kunugigaoka, and 'troubles' came to me one after another. And I didn't even caused them, and my so-called punishment was transferring into Class 3-E. But I never knew this transfer would be the spark to the start of everything.

End of Chapter Two

Finally finished chapter 2! I'm really sorry these chapters are short, but they won't be when my holidays start which will be in a few days! But this Saturday I will be going on a trip to Japan, so I'll try to write a lot during the airplane! Did you notice I changed the cover?
