Fairy Lights (on hold)

I love fairy lights! My room is full of them! Over the headboard of my bed, following the outline of the door frame, across my roof multiple times in an attempt to mimic the night's sky.

I fell in love with the magic that emits from them and the beauty they produce when my mother hung some up in my room, hanging a line from one corner of the roof to the other and she keep adding more they've stayed there ever since. I've never move them or rearranged them. Only replaced bulbs if needed.

Though no one has really seen my wonderland of a room except for close friends (so about 6 people) and family. Only because I've never brought anyone home I guess.

I've never really had a real relationship. I mean, I guess you could count that guy from back in 6th grade but I mean, he was clingy and followed me everywhere! I like seriously I don't need you to escort me to the bathroom and wait outside almost looking like a damn peeping tom, and as if your going to run in if I need you to give me toilet paper if there isn't any! Actually not having any toilet paper whilst you are on the damn toilet is pretty horrifying if you ask me...

Ok but I've gone on dates, but the relationship never lasted or even happened because there was always someone better!
I had my crushes though! There was Tyler, Lachlan, Mitch, Brandon... Yes... Brandon!!!

My current crush isn't even something that would happen in a million years! He's too in love with his girlfriend *ick* Amiee Westings... But like always, everyone loves her! Yet she hates me, hated me all her life apparently, but she's only know me since the 1st grade so her statement is false! Though I just grew to hate her I guess.

Oh my gosh! I just realised you don't even know my name! Name's Nissa Toddson! Wassup! Female, 17 and living a phase of my life where I'm not bothered to get off my lazy ass date anyone right now. Too much work.

Yes sitting at the back of classrooms behind all the couples who sit together and are all mushy and stuff is a bad idea but I've learnt to look past that. Except for that one couple, *ick* Amiee and her hunk of a boyfriend Jaison Keylen.

Damn that boy was some hot stuff, but!
1. He's taken
2. I'm simply not bothered to devise a plan to get him all to myself
3. As I said before I'm not even bother to get off my lazy ass to be committed to a relationship right now.
4. He is taken by *ick* not even going to say her name!

Anyway! I go to Riderslan High School, the school full of taken attractive guys and girl are kinda like Amiee, just not as bad... It's a small school, not a huge amount of student, yet it's difficult to make friends with anyone.

The only friends I have are Bradly Anderson (who I've know since the 7th grade) and Levi Peklong (who I've know since the 1st grade) The two came out to the school years ago revealing their sexuality and they were just left without friend and were seen as outcasts as our school is a bunch judgmental crap so I guess in someway, we were meant to be friends. I'm too nerdy and inexperienced at dating so I was seen as an outcast as well. And I repeat, my schools is a bunch of judgement crap.

But they both still dated, although they were dating each other and have been for about a year now. I should have known it would last, I set them up! I mean that's what bestfriend do!

Now my family, all you need to know is
Older brother ~ Hayden, 23, assistant of the CEO of Westings INC.
Older sister ~ (deceased) Taylar, (would be) 27
Mother ~ (deceased) Sapphire
Father ~ Markcus, well... Let's just say I don't consider him to be part of my life anymore. And I don't wish for him to be. He is no longer family and hasn't been for a long time.

"Don't you think Niss? Niss!?" Bradly says excitedly nudging me as we sat in out lunch spot.

"Hmmm?" I look over to him as if I wasn't listening, which I wasn't.

Must have been daydreaming.
Again... What else am I suppose to do when you bestfriend are been all mushy and lovely dovey. I am no third wheel!

"We were talking about how cute out couple bracelets are!" Levi grins and tilts his head trying to be cute as the couple shows off their wrists with a blue, purple and red band wrapped around it.

"They're adorable!" Me being the sweet friend I am as I take a bite from my apple

My mood immediately changes when Amiee and Jaison walk past. Jaison with a coffee and bagel and Amiee empty handed (if you don't count her clinging on the Jaison arm).

Does the girl even eat?!!
She gives me a death glare as she walks past, clinging on to the blob of hotness that she calls her boyfriend even tighter.

I bite into my apple with attitude and glare back.

"Ever since the 1st grade..." Levi shakes his head.

I flail my arms "I told you this! She started it! I don't even know what I did!"

"I'm sure you did something to piss her off. I mean I should know, I'm best friends with you" Bradly teases

"Arggg!" I tackle them to the ground, and in the end, I'm sitting on their backs as they lie on the ground on their stomaches.

"Can you get off us now?" They both say in unison as if it was rehearsed.

"NO!"

"Hey bro! I'm home!" I chuck my bag in my bedroom not caring where it lands.

I walk into the kitchen grabbing a bottle of ice tea from the fridge, some carrots sticks and hummus. "Brother! Where on earth are you?!?"

I suddenly panic. Where is he? He's always home when I come home from school. I quickly go check his room with my snack in hand. "What the~ where is he?!?"

I swiftly turn around to go search the rest of the house when... "WAHHHHHHHHH!!!" A figure with a seemingly scary mask jumps up out of no where.

"Ahhhhhh!" I unenthusiastically say pretending to be scared.

"Fine then!" Hayden disappointedly takes off the mask.

"AHHH!" I scream terrified.

"What?! What is it?!?" Hayden panics

"It's you face!" I joke

"Hahah, very funny sis" Hayden dips a carrot into my hummus and eats it.

"Aye! Get your own food!"

Hayden and I live alone in our house in which he pays almost all of the bills through his job as a co-assistant to the CEO of Westings inc. and guess who's 'daddy' is the CEO? Yes that's right! *ick*! But Hayden took the job just because it pays for the essentials.
He works the day shift so he's home during the afternoon and night.

"So how was working for papa *ick* today?" I ask walking towards my room to prepare myself for the mountain of homework I need to get to.

"You know he's really not bad." Hayden replies behind me wanting more carrot sticks.

"Oh I know, it's just that I like the phrase 'Papa *ick*'"

"Anyway, the same old answer phone calls, file stuff, get coffee, take the lint of the suit."

"Cool. Homework!" I step in my bedroom and slamming the door in his face.

"Ok! Dinner at 7!" He yells from the hallways

"YUP!" I yell back turning on the fairy lights that illuminates my room. I placing my food on my desk along with my laptop to go straight into social media.
The usual routine. Scrolling through the moments of people's life who want everyone to know what they did.
