Allegra's POV:

At least after tomorrow's prom I will have finished half of my misery through senior high school. My mom had sent me to buy a dress for the prom it not as if it mattered to me but it was better than having my mom pick one for me. I adore my mum but her taste in fashion might have worked in her youth but it wasn't fit for the 20th century. I headed to the mall and picked a green emerald dress a diamond necklace and marching earrings I later settled for white heels and paid off at the counter. As I was leaving the mall my bag was snatched from me and I let out a scream I ran after the thug after I caught up to him I just couldn't get myself to him there was a sense of familiarity between us and yet I had never seen him before. He looked as shocked as I before he stared then ran for his dear life. When I got home I found my mom, Alex at the front porch. She for once in her life complimented my taste in fashion.

After a sleepless night

I woke up more exhausted than I had gone to sleep the face of that thug had haunted me all night and when completely brought my self to earth I was in a forest under the sweet moonlight. "Happy sixteenth birthday" I heard a gentle voice whisper behind it was a figure I had seen for as long as I could remember she had never introduced yet she appeared every year on November 11th to wish me a happy birthday .I tried to get closer but as every year once I got close enough to see her she vanished with no goodbyes. I realized I was now back to my room which had brown walls with a couch and a study area and of course a shelf area with nothing but novels. I risked a glimpse on the clock only to find it was but three in the morning. Go back to sleep you idiot I heard a whimper but yet it was not my mom's voice. I went to the verandah outside my room to check it was someone out there. I found nothing then returned to bed but I couldn't shut my eyes so I decided to join Alex, my mom, for her morning jogs. I wore my grey gym pants and a matching hood. Everything seemed louder and yet the scents were even stronger that's when I sensed a scent I had never felt before it was like that of a misty morning plus it had a rose hint to it I decided to track it leaving my mother alone. I saw a large wolf with black fur and golden eyes. I felt an unfamiliar shift of my bones and the everything went dark then a voice echoed in my head "I'm Selene and I'm your wolf" the voice said I looked at my reflection after things had brightened around me only to find the reflection of a red fur wolf. I heard my mother call out to me but I couldn't go her like this I was a ferocious monster or at least I looked like one. "You are no monster you are a werewolf like me" the black wolf said. He explained how to shift back then ran off leaving with a stream of questions. Now in human form I ran to the house and sat on my room, my life had changed so much in one night. I washed up and got into my new gown and jewellery
