A wedding is said to be the happiest day in a young girls life.

For me though, I'd always thought it was the day my life ended. That was before I met Romeo, cliche right? Romeo was as gorgeous as he was on pen and also as stubborn as so. And I suppose there was a time I thought he'd actually die with me.

"Till death do us part"

The priest babbled on but as I stared into Romeo's chocolate brown eyes I wanted more than anything to get it over with. Anticipation danced on my lips. Our first kiss. I'd never felt joy like this before. Joy that made you want to giggle and dance and titter off the side of the balcony in a fit of laughter. But since I was a respectful lady, I settled for a smile that stretched so wide it hurt.

I couldn't believe how calm Romeo was, he had a fixed charming smile that he always wore on his face. He was staring at the priest which gave me amble time to trace every curve and dent of his face with my eyes.

I was relieved when Romeo's eyes finally fell back onto me and the priest said the magic words.

"You may now kiss the bride."

I've heard that you hear the crack and clap of a gun shot before it hits you.

But I saw it before I heard anything. I saw the blood bursting through the white layers of my dress. And I felt the bullet before I heard the screams. My mother and father, my sisters. They watched as I fell to the ground in a bloody mess. Gowns and rags was all that was left of me. I couldn't hear myself choking on my own blood because of all the screaming. And the last thing I remember was Romeo. Staring down at me with a grin on his face, like I was a complete stranger. Like I was a fool in his game.
