After several hours, the detectives concluded that the man was murdered and whoever murdered him left his body there. The detectives will need to investigate this matter further to find out what all happened and who did this. The town was in shocked that such crime had happened in this small town. The children families were worried about them being exposed to the crime they've witnessed, but they convinced them that they were fine. The following day, the police came to the kids school to let them know that they were appreciated for all the help and thank them for the right thing for coming to them by reporting what they had found in the woods. The officers also told them that their close on the led they have in arresting the murderer as well. The kids felt so proud and excited. James told them that they should become detectives and solve crime together when they're older and they all agreed to it. So, they made a group together and solve all the crimes within their small town.

In the end, the children still explore the woods around the town, but with the sense of responsibility and knowledge. Their discovery had far-reaching consequences, and needed to be diligent in what they did.
