Haechan, We Care

Haechan was quiet. He looked at himself in the mirror.

FLASHBACK

Haechan was prepping meat when a freaking photo frame was chucked at him. He yelled out in pain. The knife dropped and his hand immediately cupped the injured eye.

With his 'good eye' he looks towards the source. He saw his father look so satisfied before yelling for Taeyong once more.

All Haechan felt was pain but he was too frozen to move.

Once Taeyong got downstairs he was screamed at by his father. He blamed him for Haechan being injured. He forced Tae to apologize for disobeying and added told him that he had to stay up all night doing chores as punishment.

Once his father left out the door to go drink Taeyong ran up to Haechan.

"Baby, I'm so sorry. Let hyung see." He gently requested.

Haechan finally broke down.

His eye hurted. He hate living like this. He moved with the help of Taeyong's hand.

He had a mark right above his eye and it was swelled near his eye. Taeyong cursed. They needed to ice it.

Taeyong finished the dinner while Haechan iced his eye. It was the only way they could ice it..

After dinner was done, the two went upstairs. Jaemin waited anxiously for them. He gasped seeing his older brother's eye and his oldest hyung's guilty eyes.

END OF FLASHBACK

It was Monday and his eye barely made progress of looking better. He sighed realizing that it'll at least be a week before it started to improve. Especially when he wasn't really able to ice it.

The pain was terrible too. His parents refused to give medicine so he had to just deal with it. When it got too much Taeyong or Jaemin could cuddle with him and they'll find a show to watch silently.

Haechan was truly thankful for having brothers to manage life. It sucks so bad sometimes.

A knock was heard and Jaemin came in. He was walking way better.

Haechan's POV

I gave Minnie a smile. He smiled back.

"Here."

He handed me some tinted vintage sunglasses. They were pretty cute, it'll hide my eye too. I thanked him and took them.

"You still look good even with a little bruising. Does it hurt?" He told me.

"Yeah but it's manageable." I replied.

"You guys almost ready?" Taeyong called out.

He's been texting his boo and he's coming to get us a block away.

"Yeah hyung. Just finishing up." I said.

"Hyung are you okay?" Jaemin asked frowning.

I just nod.

I just feel sad today. I'm jealous of people with normal families. Why us? I feel like we could really fight back. Hyung has powers..

"Hyung? Hyunggg?"

I snap out of it.

"Sorry, yes. I'm ready. Let's go." I said moving to lead the way. I don't walk to fast so that Min can catch up.

The tree of us left downstairs and headed out the door. We started to walk.

I sighed, I really wasn't feeling today.
